Dear, dear, dear. I've never seen the vid b4 but I liked the song when it was around in July/Aug '88 - actually thought it was a stronger record than their lead track, 'Another Weekend'. Dear, dear, dear. I've never seen the vid b4 but I liked the song when it was around in July/Aug '88 - actually thought it was a stronger record than their lead track, 'Another Weekend'. Denise looks like a cross between a morphed Janet Jackson & Dolly Parton! What's with all the plant machinery - is it cos it digs and shifts rocks, hence the title of the song? The last 5Star hit...clearly losing the plot and appearing as though they were being 'advised' to take themselves seriously! Pity.

I'm not feelin Denise's blonde locks in this video. And this is what I hate about record companies. They're always telling these artists to make changes to their images. Be it styling,hair, dances. And honestly it can suck sometimes. There was nothing wrong with Denise's choreography. You can clearly see Janet Jackson's imprint in this video. Not to say she had anything to do with this.

This is blatantly one of their least pop-friendly songs, but their costumes and Deniece's voice actually came more into being from this point on. I guess it was hard for an established pop group to metamorphose into something else at the time. Good stuff though, thanks for the video.
