On the cruise that the Carl Vinson was on (CVN-70) on the return trip after 9-11, we got hit with waves off the coast of Oregon that put white water on the same windows this video is shot out of in this video. One of the waves ripped a large chunk of the catwalk up on the port side of the flight deck.
