I admire coach Bombay and his decisions in this movie. Remember how he played the clearly worse goalie the entire tournament only to put the best goalie in for the final shot in the shootout. Also when the teams best player comes back from injury he benches the second best player to get a roster spot.

You guys are far too serious..this was a movie and most of the actors didn't even play ice hockey..actually the one guy that did his own stunts went to Canada minor leagues and played hockey before the movie was Scott Whyte who played Gunner Stahl and Scotter in d-3.. he later went on to play on the USA Olympic Ice Hockey team ..he now resides in So Calif where he surfs and yes plays ice hockey in leagues..

The crowd was awed by his shot and from the distance they were watching couldn't see if the puck was in her glove or in the net althought the buzzer didn't go off they couldn't hear it because the noise in the arena. Lastly maybe you forgot but Gunnar was given a school visa to the USA to go to school here so he came to America and got an Amercian haircut .
