I'm so glad that I'm in pretty large company when it comes to watching old commercials, I always had a thing for it ever since I was a young kid. I always thought I was the only person to ever have an interest at looking at old commercial breaks, but I am wrong.
I remember being REALLY shocked to find out that Newmark & Lewis went belly up.
@Buffdude432 that's funny you say that because when I was a kid I used to loved to watch commercials. Good to see other ppl liked them too & that I wasn't a weird kid like my mother said. lol.
Nice write up on Dr. Zizmor! His ads have only permeated New York TV for years (I remember them being seen on "American Gladiators" on WNYW in the early 90s myself).... but the same could NEARLY be said for electronics store magnate Dick Lewis, whose name was nearly as ubiquitous in New York throughout the 1980s (with the sky-god like credit card!) Dick Lewis WAS watching...... I think they went defunct around the same time the similar Trader Horn stores went bankrupt.....
tHEY overkilled it with the phone line ads. It got rediculous. Clearly this was beofre myspace.
Have a great night, a great day tommorrow, a great night tommorrow, a great weekend, a great month, a great autumn and a great Halloween! Puerto Rican Love from New York City!
