i am not a climber that does jugs and things like that but i climb cracks and now i am practicing more jug or sport climbing. all types of climbing and bouldering should be in the olympics and more publicized.
Video doesn no justice. I wish people understood how difficult this was. If people knew how the average person couldn't even hold the first jug, this would be an olympic sport.
The Olympics are a joke. Dressage? Synchronized Swimming? How the fuck can those be considered sports?
So some dude gets a medal because his horse can do a figure 8? Rope Climbing at least shouldn't of been dropped from the Olympic program, that was a fantastic test of upper body strength and fitness.
I wouldn't go as far as saying the olympics suck. Watching the olympics every 2 years is still my favorite thing to do. But, I do agree that climbing should be in front of a lot of other new wave sports.
