A generation isn't 10, 25, 100 or 1000 years. It all dependings on WHEN the couple make a child and WHEN this child take the legacy of his parents. The idea of generation is to continue our family story or simply change it, create a NEW generation. Well, anyway, it has nothing to do with a specific number of years, it all dependings on the "top couple".

But depending on time and place tends to round to something like 15 to 20-something years.
