Another thing. Why don't you guys learn Japanese instead? Why must it be in English? It's best to play it in the original one. When it goes to America, they'll fucking dub the game. @demigodFUDO Tales of vesperia was my first tales game too. then I went and played tales of symphonia, tales of the abyss, tales of phantasia, and tales of destiny. They were all up to par, or even better at storytelling/gameplay/character development then tales of vesperia.
Just so people know, There are 2 Different developers for the Tales Series. Symphonia and Destiny. The games created by Symphonia are localized. So, Symphonia, Phantasia, Vesperia, Abyss etc. Where as Destiny is only Japanese. (Except The first Destiny game) but the rest were only released in Japan.
Guys , if you ever travel in Japan do as I am gona do , in 2 and a half week I will go to see my friends in Tokyo and I have gathered a lot of money to buy many games from Akihabara ( doujin games of course ) and I will also visit my best friend's work place (note: he works at SQUARE ENIX ) . No Tales handheld games ever come to the US. That's just how it is. This most likely has to do with sales of handheld games and how it takes a lot of money to find voice actors and be able to pay for localization. However, all mothership titles are released in the US.
(If this doesnt post right it is for candigurl128) Not all games turned to animes are bad, like Disgaea. That ones good. I don't know if you heard of Disgaea but it's a cool anime, manga, and game.
What makes you think they are sending it to us, is there information that they are but i hopefully hope they are and maybe they can add some more stuff too like maybe some more summons of tales of characters or have more specials that would be awesome!!

I'm starting to get annoyed at the Tales makers in Japan. the US missed out on Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of Rebirth, Tales of the Tempest, and now it looks like we're on the verge of missing out on Innocence. We got Radiant Mythology and ToS 2, and I saw NA Copyright for Graces and Tales of VS. But I hope Japan stops leaving everyone else out of the loop.
The "voices" are shit. One of the characters names was butchered, and one of the key things in the story was horribly mistranslated. Don't know what you think about importing as there are better version of the game out there (PSX and PSP...PSP being the best imo).
Oh, well that's a letdown. And for me atleast, I don't think getting the PSP version is much better because it's only in Japanese and I can't understand it.
Trust me- Tales of Tempest is NOT that good. It's VERY short(10 hours), the graphics suck....it's fail. I personally think it's why Japan doesn't want to bring Innocence and Hearts to the U.S.- they're afraid they wont do good. Plus, both the U.S. and Japan's economy isn't that good right now, so something flopping like that isn't a good thing.
I just hope we get the ToV movie, Radiant Mythology 2, and the ToV PS3 port, but that's not likely.

@Greygam No, it's not. The ToD2 we have in english is really Tales of Eternia, the third tales game, renamed for America. The REAL Tales of Destiny 2, the sequel to Tales of Destiny and the fourth tales game, is Japan only.
I think the anime version looks better for tales series. Anime openings are like the tales series trademark now... If it switches to CG, to me it feels like... its not a tales game anymore!

The anime one feels more natural. the CG makes it look like a Final Fantasy knock-off, and some of the characters loose that anime style cuteness.

I hope we get to use the touch screen and it doesn't turn out like Children of Mana type controls. You can use the touch screen in that game, but it's a lot easier to use the buttons. I want a more WEWY type thing but, that porbably very unlikely. D:
If this comes to the U.S, there is no doubt in my mind that this will be one of the best RPG games ever to come out on the Nintendo DS. The battle system looks like a free mode just like the other tales series, and I gotta say the music is wonderful

Oh, well that's a letdown. And for me atleast, I don't think getting the PSP version is much better because it's only in Japanese and I can't understand it.

Trust me- Tales of Tempest is NOT that good. It's VERY short(10 hours), the graphics suck....it's fail. I personally think it's why Japan doesn't want to bring Innocence and Hearts to the U.S.- they're afraid they wont do good. Plus, both the U.S. and Japan's economy isn't that good right now, so something flopping like that isn't a good thing.
I just hope we get the ToV movie, Radiant Mythology 2, and the ToV PS3 port, but that's not likely.

@SkyRifter On the contrary my friend, the japanese follows alot of our ways. I've taken japanese history and social classes. If you think the japanese ignore the americans, sorry to tell you but about roughly 60% of daily life now a days is influenced by american traditions.

@S0ra101 I think they abondened the thought of a US Tales of Graces. *Sigh* It's not only the US that's suffering, Eurpoe, Australia and other countries are even worse. We're lucky to have what we have. Even if it is dubbed and transfered, it can be pretty lazily done. I mean, not dubbing the skits and leaving out the best artes?! I'm talking to you Symphonia. Let's still have hope for Graces and the new one coming out soon.

@S0ra101 I'm pretty sure that Namco Bandai is having financial issues, so they can't afford to send stuff overseas if they aren't sure they'll sell well. Apparently Vesperia didn't sell too well in the US, which I don't understand because it was an awesome game. :D Of course, I heard this from someone else, so I'm not sure any of this is true. :)

@Greygam No, it's not. The ToD2 we have in english is really Tales of Eternia, the third tales game, renamed for America. The REAL Tales of Destiny 2, the sequel to Tales of Destiny and the fourth tales game, is Japan only.

I think the anime version looks better for tales series. Anime openings are like the tales series trademark now... If it switches to CG, to me it feels like... its not a tales game anymore!

Just because someone is making alot of money off something, doesnt mean they are doing the right thing. In most situations people feel the nostalgia of something and when something new comes out, they buy it instantly, afterwards realizing its a piece of crap.
I've owned 2 FF games, Crystal chronicles and X-2 (Excluding emu roms) Both were shit out of my ass.
Plus, I imagine Pokemon Platinum would be decent, except it changed infinitely since I used to play it.

The anime one feels more natural. the CG makes it look like a Final Fantasy knock-off, and some of the characters loose that anime style cuteness.
I never liked Final fantasy much, except for the crystal chronicles and tactics series. so I think they should go with this one. Is it being realesed as aCG and anime style? whats going on?

They are probably ones who cares more on graphics than gameplay :/ nobody would want to play a game just to see movies or play with broken gameplay(I'm pretty sure no one will want that)it really doesn't matter on what console it is just as long as the gameplay is awesome(please don't go overdrive on the graphics to much)I'll take the anime version cuz it has that tales feeling to it :) but the CG isn't bad its impressive but I will most likely get the anime version and watch the CG on youtube

I hope we get to use the touch screen and it doesn't turn out like Children of Mana type controls. You can use the touch screen in that game, but it's a lot easier to use the buttons. I want a more WEWY type thing but, that porbably very unlikely. D:

If this comes to the U.S, there is no doubt in my mind that this will be one of the best RPG games ever to come out on the Nintendo DS. The battle system looks like a free mode just like the other tales series, and I gotta say the music is wonderful
