  • Ali is the MAN !

  • As great as he was inside the ring,he was even greater outside the ring.I judge athletes on what they contribute to society,The man stood up for what he believed in and went to jail for it.That's what makes him the greatest there will ever be IMO.

  • @ezfla He didn't go to jail for it..

  • @michaelyouth u r right,ty for correcting me and not assaulting me with cruelty.

  • Ali looked like Holmes when he fought Tyson...Age happens to everyone

  • 1.Sugar Ray robinson 2.Muhammad Ali 3.Joe Louis 4.Sugar Ray Leonard 5. Even though i don't like him but Floyd Mayweather 6Joe Frazier 7.Roy Jones Jr 8.Evander Holyfield 9. Roberto Duran 10. Marvin Hagler

  • @Mist8314 its stupid putting diffrenet wights in a Top 10 man!

  • @PunisherLobo Who cares about weight!!!

  • @Mist8314 well the howl fucking fighting sports maybe? There is a reason for that!!!

  • @PunisherLobo Dummy when it comes to judging the best it has nothing to do with weight but skill!!! You clearly know nothing about boxing period so why are you even on here!!!

  • @Mist8314 you cant compare a sugar ray to an muhammed ali because they did not faced the same opponets man! The Skill is good but only shows itself against strong motherfuckers that hit like mules kick like foreman!!! So plz!!! This is like puting tanks and Sportscars into one top 10!!! BS! Sorry!!

  • @PunisherLobo Not comparing them! U the top 10 all of the top 10boxers was heavy weights?LOL Has nothing to do with weight! A lot old ppl say say sugar ray robinson was the greatest because of his records that were never broke. When you talk about the greatest it basically means pound for pound! Idiot!LOL Pound for pound has nothing to do with weight but who's the best. Please do your research before you hit me with that bullshit! Look at all the other lists online from espn etc!

  • @Mist8314

Nice list but I would put Henry Armstrong, Manny Pacquoia and Bernard Hopkins.

  • @ChampCarforlife Never seen henry armstrong fight so i can't say anything about him. Bernard Hopkins to me is a cheater. Holds way to much, hits on the break, and holds and hits, and pushes the person head down while in a clinch. After seeing manny pacqiaou get beat up by Marquez i don't know that i'll put the steroid freak on my list!

  • @Mist8314

I would also put Jack Johnson, Pernell Whitaker and Julio Cesar Chavez.

  • Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, Joe Frazier, George Foremand and a bit Mike Tyson too were the best fighters. Ali was the greatest.

  • You lost me at Tyson over Joe Louis..... U can''t b serious. Near 12 yrs straight champion vs. a guy who knocked out knuckleheads and was clocked by buster douglas at 24, then lost to the best heavies of his era (and badly) and was toast after that. Sugar Ray Robinson was the best fighter ever, but I'm stickin to heavyweights....

  • In a perfect world I would say he should have retire after he beat Joe Frazier the 3rd time, in 1975. He took too many punches in the 70's.

  • Yea Ali should never have fought Holmes and it was a sad fight and he'll still be remembered as the greatest by most, but what about Larry? If Ali is the greatest, though I would put him behind Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes is third or fourth and most people have never heard of him. He has been neglected and shafted repeatedly by the boxing community his entire career. Shame on them and shame on all you who watch this fight and don't give him credit.

  • typical black man

  • How come ali never fought with his mustache? Ali was trying to be optimistic even though he didnt have it any more. the reflexes were gone, his hand speed was gone, his punching power was reduced.

  • Comment removed

  • Ali should have stuck around a little bit longer to pass the torch to Tyson. That would have been a great event for boxing.

  • I've never liked Ali at all, for a lot of reason, but is clear that he already had that son of a bi**h of Parkinsons and probably he knew that but he wanted to fight again because he has never had fear of nothing...

  • when tyson fought holmes, holmes was the same age ali was when they fought. 38.

  • i will also add that this fight was Holmes in his prime, he contributed nothing to boxing except being a big phony, with a number of easy fights before he fought against Ali, and Larry Holmes was at his absolute best. LOL, still couldn't knock a warrior like Ali down, if ali fought holmes in 1975, he would have mopped Holmes ass on the floor, then knocked him out cold, and then laughed at him silly and made fun of him.

  • @kalai131 You make it sound like Holmes was the one avoiding Ali. Holmes was a top ranked challenger in 1975 but Ali avoided him and fought Coopman and Dunn instead. Holmes held back the entire fight with Ali, don't try to convince yourself that he couldn't knock him out, if he'd wanted to he could have really hurt Ali. And he wasn't a phony he fought the best around at the time. You're clearly blinded by you're unhealthy obsession with Ali.

  • @twiskins

ali made holmes look like a fool when they sparred in 74, he used him to prepare for the foreman fight.

young cassius clay from 64 would have beaten the shit out of holmes.

holmes doesnt deserve any credit for beating a cripple, i am glad tyson knocked his head off.

  • @t3di2 Ali couldn't make Holmes look a fool. Holmes often beat him to the punch and predicted everything he did when they sparred, and Holmes punched much harder and sharper. Holmes was in a lose-lose situation when he fought Ali, people thought if he won he's only beat an old man, and if he lost he was never any good anyway. Like Holmes once said, how can they say Ali was old at 38 when Holmes fought till he was 53? Ali would have had major trouble with Holmes at any time in his career.

  • @twiskins Wow, fighting beating 5'11" 340LBS Butterbean proves so much :D

he did vomit after the holyfield fight, he was lucky it wasnt a 15 rounder

  • @t3di2 Butterbean may be 5'11" and 340lbs but he is one of the most explosive and hardest hitting heavyweights there is. Add that to the fact that Holmes was 53, and yes, I'd say that proves "so much". So him vomiting means he wouldn't be able to go 15 rounds? most of his fights went 15 rounds and he had no problem with it.

  • @twiskins not really, otherwise a visibly diminishing ali would nt have the audacity to challenge and then riddicule holmes before the fight, as for sparring partners al blue was the most complicated sparring partner ali ever had, but even in his prime ali would allow medicore sparring partners to smash him around as a form of physical conditioning

  • @twiskins You're nuts!!!LOL He took George foreman and ernie shavers punched! What could Larry Hlomes do to him!!LOL YOu clearly don't know boxing...

  • @Mist8314 Yeah sure.

  • @t3di2 It's people like you that give real boxing fans a bad name. Holmes competed well against Ali when they sparred and Holmes was basically a sharper, quieter, less flashy version of Ali in his prime with a much better jab. Holmes doesn't deserve a lot of credit for beating Ali, but he does for all the other guys he beat, and he never gets credit because of people like you.

  • @kalai131 Are you a fuckin idiot??The only reason Ali wasnt beaten down was because Holmes was holding back because of his respect for ALi. Larry's corner kept telling him use his right hand but Larry ignored them and pretty much only used the jab. Yes ali in prime wouldve won but teh situantion here was that Larry wasnt fighting prime Ali. If you really think Lary Holmes was fighting 100% then you don't know anything about boxing.

  • @thisiswarson are you also a fucking idiot because holmes gave everything in a good few rounds but ali didn't go down so holmes eased up , still went for the knockout tho but said to the ref to come over n stop , which didn't happen

  • @calbo555 No your the fucking idiot like others already have told you. If you think knocking out Ali even though he is old is easy then you're just a fucking retard, period. Ali has never been ko'd or knocked down for more than 10 secs. he has endured Foreman,Frazier,Shavers etc,if you think doesn't mean anything than stop watch boxing cuz you don't have any knowledge and your dumb as fuck

  • @thisiswarson i said it wasn't easy for ali to get knocked out you idiot , larry still went full pelt at him nearly the full fight ! i know ali never goes down or gives up , he would kill larry in his prime !! even when frazier knocked ali down he was up in a split second and that punch would put most fighters to sleep . your the one saying the only reason ali didn't go down was because larry was holding back , which i said larry wasn't he wasn't you absolute fucking spastic ! now be quiet

  • @calbo555 He holding back you shitty fuck. Anyway were giving Larry Holmes no credit for anything, you're just a disrespectfull faggot with no knowledge, people already have been telling that

  • @thisiswarson i give larry lots of credit where it's due , he was the best in his era and a great champ .. he held back in the last round , only time! , even when he had ali crippled he knew ali would not fall so he called on the ref saying he would end up killing him just stop the fight . ali would not fall because ali never does .but ali is the proper champ and holmes done his job , holmes never held bk until that end round tho which i was saying when you wrote that comment you fuckin spazzie

  • @calbo555 Oh sorry I thought you were the guy who said "Larry contributed nothing to boxing" but that was "kalai131",my mistake. yes Larry wasn't holding back till Ali was breakin down, sorry i thought you were talking about the whole fight.

  • @thisiswarson it's cool :) .. both great fighters but even a prime ali would still struggle with homes but muhammad had more heart to keep going than holmes.. respect ali more and it's don kings fault for putting him in the ring at that age with parkinsons disease coming on strong ... especially against such a hard and fast hitter like holmes , can't refuse the money i suppose , such a shame but !

  • @calbo555 Yeay Holmes would give Prime Ali some problems,he's a great boxer himself :). Its always sad to see legends end like this :(

  • @calbo555 Totally agree. Larry Holmes really was in a no-win situation here. He clearly pulled back from really pounding Ali towards the end. Of course Ali was way past prime, but I also agree that Ali (who struggled with many great hvwyts - Norton, Frazier and a few others) would have had a seriously hard time beating Larry Holmes at any time. Larry was bigger, stronger, smart and the best Jab perhaps ever. People forget how great Laryry Holmes was in his prime. 20 straight title defenses.

  • @aitraining correct but .. see ali had larry as his sparring partner years " alot of years " after he was out of prime facing george foreman .. fighters evolve and get better over the years but being truthfull , in no way shape or form would larry win 5 out of 15 rounds with ali in prime , same with tyson would never get even 4 rounds unless he caught ali like joe frasier did ... ali was just a unique person and boxer , his co-ordination and judgement was unreal .. ali , tyson , joe louis ....

  • @calbo555 "in no way shape or form would larry win 5 out of 15 rounds with ali in prime" that's opinion bro. I happen to disagree.

  • @aitraining You can disagree bro, thats's fine but i no for certain any boxer with a 3 1/2 year lay off could never come back to even compete proper in HW never mind defeat any champion .. with or without that lay off in 1966 ali was untouchable from any boxer in history and " just my view" if there was no draft he would have retired before larry holmes fought him .. that was a disgrace to let an old man clearly not even to string a sentance proper .. i respect larry as a top fighter but no ali

  • @calbo555 I rate Ali over Holmes top 10...but not by much for what my amatuer top 10 Hvwt champion list is worth lol: 1 - Joe Louis 2 - Jack Dempsey 3 - Rocky Marciano 4 - Muhammed Ali 5 - George Foreman 6 - Larry Holmes 7 - Evander Holyfield 8 - Jack Johnson 9 - Mike Tyson 10 - Joe Frazier wud like to c urs :)

  • @aitraining I think holmes was near a perfect fighter but what ali done for the sport was incredible and had an answer to every style .. good top ten but to me it was .. muhammad , tyson, larry holmes, sugar r robinson , jack johnson ,joe lois , rocky, foreman , frazier ... "prime" i mean. but they earned not to be in order they are all the greatest.. who could you say to anyone from now or 30 year ago is the greatest boxer and young or old say , " ALI"? HA

  • its crazy how much of a fight Ali gave the big "pussy" Larry Holmes, by the time he fought Holmes he was already so banged up physically and mainly mentally from all the bullshit he faced from the media, government, family, and his own shit, that added to the fact that the thyroid meds he took in prep for this fight made him feel tired and weak, and even then the flabby lard boy man Larry Holmes couldn't knock him out, no wonder Tyson mopped Larry Holmes ass like a pillsbury dougboy,Holmes sucks

  • yeah if ali had retired after his rematch win over spinks he cud have looked back on his career and said he beat everyone he stepped in the ring with and avenged all 3 of his defeats,he ruined with taking the fights with holmes and berbick

  • This is Sad to See

  • Ali already had Parkisons by the time he fought Holmes. So sad.

  • I remember watching this fight as a ten year old and crying at watching the end of ali. Greatest athelete of all time.

  • Ali should have retired after his win over Leon Spinks. His fights with Holmes and Berbick shouldn't have happened..

  • He couldn't talk in a decent way anymore, he couldn't walk in a decent way anymore... It's sad to see a great champion ending like this.

  • I canßt believe what I am seeing! Everybody could see that he was wasted even in the Sparring. How could the Las Vegas Athletic Commission let this fight to take Place at Caesares Palace back in October 1980?

Larry Holmes knew it. And what about the WBA-Champion Mike Weaver? At least he was generouse enough to say, he would never fight Ali because he cared about Ali as an individual Person.

  • It was that famouse hook from frazier that gave him parkinsons. Now dubed as the "Parkinson hit"

  • @sz42781 no its not you goon. and you don;t get parkinsons from1 punch. he would have gotten parkinson anyway, its genitic. boxing MAY have brought it on sooner tho.

  • @evol121 It was fraziers signature "parkinsons hook". He would really turn it over so it would inflict parkinsons on anyone in its path!

  • It was Holmes fault for not looking at ali and saying he isn´t in shape, I don´t need to fight him, Lets face it a prime ali or frazier or foreman would murder holmes, Holmes did nothing honor like besides fighting an old.. symptomized ali. Ali 4 ever, He had one fight left in him.

  • U gotta understand .. this is the way of the true fighter ... You don't beat me till I have nothing left .. Till I'm on the flooor ... Look at Mike .. and all the greats. You gotta go down swinging man .. sometimes you die for the things you love. The things you believe in .. Maybe Frazier is happy with the history and legacy he left .. maybe Ali is .. each his own. I seriously doubt, though, Ali would've taken another path. It was written .. and it is what it is. Easy to leave on top.

  • He will also be remembered for a dodge drafting racist - Life doesn't run away from nobody. Life runs at people. -Smokin Joe Frazier

  • cool

  • this fight messed ali up even worse . should have never happened

  • Man this is sad.

  • I was there as a kid when he came to our group from Martin luther king center. He simply left the cameras for us.

  • lol

    Ali+You=Ass whooping

  • Was this comment necessary?

  • ALI boombayay...

  • You can see why Ali ended up punch drunk. Sad ending to a great career.

  • @C4797

what is sad, everyone saw what was going on. as a kid my dad told me something is definitely wrong with ali. his entourage and the media suck-ups were too afraid to say anything to him.

  • Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1984, a disease for which those subject to severe head trauma, such as boxers, are many times more susceptible.

He's not 'Punch Drunk'. You're going to see many more athletes that participate in sports that cause head trauma suffer the same fate.

  • @C4797:

Ali has Parkinson's Disease. Boxing does not cause Parkinson's. There are boxers who do have Pugilistic Dementia, but Ali is not 'punch drunk.'

  • @tw69hands2 Ali developed non-organic Parkinson's Disease caused by brain injury due to boxing. When first diagnosed with Parkinson's, Ali underwent a battery of tests at Mayo and elsewhere revealing severe brain trauma which his doctors believed was boxing related. Some dispute this conclusion, but if Ali's Parkinson's is congenital, then boxing definitely exacerbated it. Thus it is not inaccurate to say that Ali is "punch drunk" even though he does not have DP.

  • @C4797 not punch drunk you fool. Parkinsons Syndrome. It's completely different.

  • wait hold up, BEONYCE HAD THE BEST VIDEO OF ALLTIME, ALLTIME

  • The greatest of all time.

  • Damn Ali looked out of shape

  • my no homo video is about to get deleted by youtube b/c of its content. but you would not think so!

  • wow...

  • this 30/30 show is pretty good

the one about the colt band after the colts sneaked out of baltimore was damn good

thus the usfl show was really good, didn't know reggie white played in the usfl and steve spurrier was a coach of a team......

and donald trump was an owner...!!!!

    GOOD STUFF

  • This is sad. It's too bad Ali didn't quit on top. He just wanted to compete and win the title again. He's a legend. He will always be remembered for the glory days.

  • hes not dead save that for his funeral. he can still come back ;)

  • @CIApunisher916:

If you listen to the commentary, then you'll understand why Ali, like many great performers, couldn't quit at his peak. When you have been that successful for that long, you have no reason to suspect that you won't continue to be. Dr. Ferdie Pacheco said it best in the previous film short.

  • @CIApunisher916 I agree. Ali should have NEVER fought again after his victorious rematch with Leon Spinks. I never saw the fight with Holes live as it happened, but when I fanally DID see it some 20 years later, it litterally brought tears to my eyes to see my favorite boxer of alltime lose like that. Anyway, that fight never should have occured. However; I loved seeing his daughter Lela Ali fight. Helps me remember Ali's glory days.

  • @Oaklandgirlpitlover1 It was like watching De La Hoya fight Pacquiao.

  • @CIApunisher916 De La Hoya and Pacquiao fought? I really didn't know that. I kid you not. I would imagine Pacquiao must have won that fight.

  • @Oaklandgirlpitlover1 Just look up "Pacquiao De La Hoya HBO Highlights" on youtube.

  • @CIApunisher916 I just saw it. THAT was brutal. Poor Oscar ( With his RICH self ).

  • @Oaklandgirlpitlover1 Poor Oscar is right. Pacquiao was made a 15 to 1 underdog by the bookies. Vegas was practically giving away money that night.

  • This looks Great
