even before i read the description i thought this looked great for wooden models, and for those complaining about safety, NO SHIT IT IS DANGEROUS, IF A PERSON DIDN'T KNOW THAT THEY DESERVE TO BE WOUNDED!. anyway maybe you have, but a small scale planner would be awesome. anyway cool tool, and anyone who thinks it isn't obviously dangerous to use a tool like that, and must be treated with care, is either an idiot, or thinks that everyone else is an idiot.
What's up with the damn safety patrol? Christ almighty. Pretty sure the operator is a big boy, and well aware of the risks associated with ANY power tool. Good job, neat little trick. Gives me a few ideas.
very good ..pity the health and safety jerks had to say something try to make you out a duhhhhh im brain dead i wanna stick my finger in the blade lol sad twerps.. great job
Great little saw and it seems to cut really well considering the relatively low periferal speed of the blade driven by a drill. Some guards can put the user at more risk than none at all, I use a 1/2"metal rod that is bent at 90 degrees and has a plate that is bolted to the side of the saw table. It has saved me running my hand into the blade more than once and does not obstruct the acess to the job/cut very much at all. it is on an old 8" saw but could be scalled down for your saw. Regards
Por todos los comentarios en el idioma de Shakespeare reformado, se induce que los NORTEamericanos tienen problemitas de atención que les hacen temer mucho por sus dedos jajaja!!! "Insane" jajaja
@sahariel420 This saw is designed to cut thin wood for building ships scale model. It can't cut in angle. You need another type of saw in order to do that. You will find building plans in the website that is in the description of the video.
Danger finger! " TROLOS! La sierra está genial!
Thank you very much for your comment! We both know that tools are dangerous but in the case of this video, I cut a little piece of wood in order you to appreciate the machine with more details. But actually, this machine is thought to use a bigger piece of wood, and in that case you won't have your fingers near the saw. This is an example of a little machine that can be modified by everyone who wants to add and additional security system. Again, thanks.
I get a kick out of people that point out how "dangerous" tools are without guards & push sticks. I'm sure You/I understand the need for safety but We also know the need to use our ability to control our actions. I am comfortable using tools the way you do. I am careful & I anticipate problems & adjust my actions to prevent them. Guards & push sticks can cause just as many or more problems because they give the user a false sence of security. Undivided attention is essential ! Great Tool ! !
looks like someone is calling for a paineful lesson! don´t push that stick with your bare fingers into the blade! one distracting event, and you will learn it the hard way! STOP IT!
Excelente!! Te felicito, buena idea y buen diseño, funciona al 100%

A simple featherboard and a grooved pushstick would solve the "holy crap gonna loose some fingers" problem here.

I like that you use a push stick on the last cut. Wood looks best without blood all over it. Nice wee saw. Thanks.

Not bad, but can it cut bigger, harder wood? Sounds like it's struggling getting through that. Can you adjust the angle at all?

@rzambrino i don't think allowing it to cut at an angle would be so hard, just make the table surface tiltable.
