Hi I have a marui M14 socom upgraded to shoot 420 fps. The motor is still stock. I was wondering if i could switch from a 8.4v 3600mah to a 9.6v 2000mah. Would this damage my gun?
TM out classes CA but Most people prefure CA becasue there full metal i have a CA scar and a Tm m4 and the m4 is much cheaper lighter and outpeforms the CA scar well when they were stock now my CA has many upgrades lol 400fps, ver3gearbox, large battery stock, barrel cut, EOtech scope, with a 3x magnifier , and a laser/flashlight , and a CA m203 on the bottom lol GOTTA LOVE THOSE RAILS lol
Because a TM has plastic shimming and the gears wouldn't be able to withstand a high ROF for as long as a 8.4. If you wanted efficiency in ROF in a TM re shim, metal bushings, don't go crazy on auto, and take care of your gun :)
the only thing bad about plastic bushings is if your running over a 100 or 110 spring pushing it but plastic bushings will actualy give you a higher ROF compaired to the metal but you take the chance of them warping and striping gears =( but that will only happen if you run over a 100 spring =] great vid btw =]
You can buy a Cyma M14, just like me, and it will not let you down, comparing with TM's M14. The parts are very similar and the performance... brutal :D
It costs around 400 with tax thats how much I paid for mine. It's got a nice heavy feel to it and nothing wobbles or creaks. Inside is completely metal and the outside is hard plastic which feels nice. It's one of the worst AEG's to EVER take apart though takes like 20min just to change the dam barrel. It's a nice gun though, I've gone through atleast 10000 rounds and so far not a single squeak of problems. I've only upgraded the spring and bushings.
I haven't used the KWA G36, but I can tell you that the TM M14 is the most accurate AEG out of the box that I have used (I have used a variety of AEG's from TM, CA, ICS, G&G, JG, ECHO1, CYMA, etc. including M4, AK, MP5, M16, P90, etc.).
It is very quiet and has a smooth gearbox sound, you can tell it is shimmed well with properly fitting parts. The hopup is exceptional, as other people have mentioned.

where did you get a battery that could fit
blackhexx 3 years ago
It was probably a 9.6 mini-type battery. I run one with mine and it fits perfectly. Not too tight or loose in there.

Too bad TM external = ABS plastic shit.

I wouldn't run a 9.6v on a stock TM for long.

why?

This has been flagged as spam show
actually, tm has metal shimmming
and for the nylon to melt it would have to be upwards of a thousand rof... and thats not
tm will last forever, dont be a nigger

I can't get over the hop and range of the fuckin' things. Puts any AEG to shame.

LOL
I agree the M14 is Marui's best AEG, ever. But I do not agree that it will put any AEG to shame.
There are plenty of examples of AEG's that can outmatch that one, like the KWA G36c, for example.
ardrummer, I love your gun. If I had moneys for another AEG, the SOC16 would be the first I buy..

once you actually get to the gearbox, is it similar to that of any other gb or is it 10 times harder to disassemble?

It's just really well built.

TSD did a very good job with the M14. Mine is very quiet also, and is amazingly accurate up to 250 feet.
