  • It's funny, the "shimmer" on the blue sky makes me think of the "Ice" mode on the Timeline.

  • hey jamey, for the blue sky reverb, what are your settings?

  • My favorite part, he turns on the wah, plays it for 1 second and goes, but you've heard that a million times. HAHAHAHA love it

  • How much would a set up like this cost? Counting one of the amps, the pedals and the cables with the pedal board?

  • I am so in love with that Strymon Blue Sky reverb it's kinda scary.

  • Your tone makes me want to cry. So good.

  • what is that guitar? looks so cool!!

  • Great tone Jamey! Love your music, keep rocking brother!

  • АХУЕЕЕЕТЬ!!

  • I want a reign amp!! do they have a website, I can't seem to find it?

  • does that CAE power the Whammy too?

  • what cabinet is it with the dual 40?

  • Comment removed

  • Boutique power cables?

  • @AlexJonesCRAM

    $1400. Just no.

  • Love the rig man. Question for you, I noticed you use to use the Hilton Volume pedal, now you switched over to the Goodrich. Do you prefer the Goodrich over the Hilton? Also, what model Goodrich is it? L10k? If so, how often do you have to change the batteries in it? Thanks a million times bro, I love your tone.

  • is the phaser modded???

  • bro - youve got the coolest sounding setup ever. seriously - youve reshaped the idea of playing guitar. thanks for the vid, man

  • Hey Jamie - what made you decide to change the Eventide Pitchfactor for the POG2 and Whammy? (If it was indeed these two which made you change!)

  • An ISP Decimator would take out that nasty white noise from your rig, its not true bypass but it has a nice transparent buffer.

  • hey, Jamie surprised not to see any Diamond pedal. have you ever run any Diamond pedals , they seem to make the best in most areas from what i have played? just thought i would ask

    thanks

  • Hey Jamie (or anyone reading who knows)! Thanks for posting this for guitar nerds like me. Quick question: I'm building up a pedalboard nearly identical to yours, but have one problem I can't get around and don't want to spend money on a switcher before I have an answer: I want to keep my reverb (Eventide Space) and Delay (soon to be Eventide Time Factor, currently TC Nova Delay) tails but it seems impossible using a switching system. Am I wrong about this? If so, what's the solution? THANK YOU!

  • @jameyice1: JameY. Sorry for the misspelling!

  • @goodframesmusic How is it impossible? im confused what you are asking? I have my timefactor in my musicomlab switcher

  • @jameyice1 Sorry for the confusion. What I meant was that since your Time Factor is in a true bypass switcher, when you switch to a patch that doesn't include the Time Factor, the delay disappears immediately instead of trailing off (as it would if you just disengaged the pedal in a series loop). I don't want that abrupt cut-off, but instead for the delays/reverbs to slowly fade without feeding the unit anymore input when I switch to another patch. I hope that makes more sense?

  • @jameyice1

His question relates to the idea that when you hit the switch for the loop of whatever delay one would would use the switcher takes it essentially out of the chain thus taking away the "tails" of whatever you played before you cut the delay off.

  • @goodframesmusic I guess your talking about having your TF in a loop of the Musicom and if you then switch to another preset, your trails are cut of (if the loop of the delay is deactivated). That's correct and actually my very problem at the time. With the TF the problem is solved, since you don't have to put it in a loop. You can (de)activate it via Midi with the Musicom an you can cange the presets of the TF at once. Hope that helped!

  • @snuratic YES! EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED! Thanks so much for this reply! I was hoping the solution would have something to do with the Musicom's MIDI capabilities and I'm glad I wasn't wrong. Now I'm all good to go!

  • @goodframesmusic You'll need to have those pedals all in a loop that you wont turn off when going through the presets of a switcher

  • @rockerverb08 Thanks so much!. I'm working out a solution that will hopefully not involve too much expense. Seems I can also use my Eventide Space for (simple) dealy+reverb effects, so I may pass on the Time Factor (€500 is a LOT to spend on a delay whose advanced functionality I don't really need) and use my Nova Repeater for reverse stuff and dual delay and just deal with the loss of trails (for now). There are also parallel effects blenders out there that might provide another solution.

  • @goodframesmusic To clarify. You're asking, while using a switcher (i.e. musicomlab) can you allow the trails of time effects (delay and reverb) to decay even after you've switched to a different patch. Correct? My answer, no. I use true-bypass loopers and that function isn't possible unless I use delays outside of the loop. So when I turn the delay off I can get the trails but I loose the functionality of the looper. I'm speaking from experience with true-bypass not musicomlab switcher.

  • @goodframesmusic Bradshaw (you should know who he is since you're a guitar nerd) tells people to set up the way your switching your time-based effects so that your switching from the input of the effects but the connection remains to the output. So when you bypass the effect, it stops feeding it signal, but all the tails still get through because output is always connected. Hope this helps. Cheers.

  • Hey Jamey, my set up is very similar to yours and I run a stereo rig as well. My question is, how do you have your Musicom Lab switcher routed so that your amps are in stereo?

  • @jbocheltree There are multiple outputs in the musicomlab so you can just run 2 lines out to 2 amps. Or you can run out 2 outputs from your delay, which is how mine is set up.

  • @jameyice1 what's your setting om your morgan amp, and what tubes do you have in it. also what are your settings on the phase shifter

  • you can pick up simple 2 x 1 (1/4") adaptors for about $3 to do it the cheap way, or better yet pick up (or make) a 1 x 2 box that will allow you to push your fx board to one certain amp or both amps simoltaneously. having 2 mono outputs on a pedalboard is a nice thing to have, especially with a selector push-switch built in to the board. this will allow you to use one amp for certain tones, the other amp for other tones, or even both amps simoltaneously. just make sure outputs are balanced.

  • Good stuff broseph! Very informative and helpful.

    Blessings!

  • @soaringuitarist thanks man that helps a lot

  • Does anyone know if the musciomlab can switch the boss dd-20 presets?

  • @91soccerguy Technically yes... but it would be difficult. you can use a tap to scroll through the presets. You can program it to scroll through. Such as preset 1. you choose your first preset on the dd20. preset 2 is the second preset. But if you want to go back to the preset 1 one sound. the delay would go its 3rd preset. whereas if you had say a eventide unit you can have just one preset for one delay setting and be able to always go back to it. it would he a pain with the dd 20

  • how do you run your signal stereo? do you have to have all stereo pedals? I have a trailer trash board and right now and i play through a fender blues jr. and I would like to get another amp to play stereo. I'm not sure how to do it though. Does you guitar have to be stereo? Any help?

  • @EmpimenioHernandez I think he just has stereo coming out of the eventide timefactor. it splits a mono to stereo.

  • Does anyone know what bypass foot switcher he is using. The one right next to the musicomlab

  • @DrewGockel he told me it was a road rage loop that he had painted.

  • did you have your memory man modded? (for true bypass or anything else)

  • Hi! Does anyone know if the POG 2 can handle driven tones for +1 or +2 octaves like the whammy does without the glitchy-ness of the whammy? Thanks!

  • Jesus is Love :)

  • A. I. LOVE. YOUR SOUND. soooo much, I don't have the money for that rig :( lol. But B. You're not using a compressor are you? I've heard Bell guitars are just naturally that way but I wasn't sure........

  • Amazing sound.

  • Hey Jamey! I love your rig.

I've got a question for you, with your amps do you run them clean or have one clean and one dirty?

    Thanks.

  • Okay, this sounds a lot better with the new power supply! I really like a lot of the stuff on your board and I'm thinking about putting together a new pedalboard sorta based on your design. Could I ask what the approximate cost of the board(case)/pedals/cables/power supply/looper/ ..... basically the complete total of the pedalboard is? I'd really appreciate that! Thanks.

  • Why would you get a clone of a BB Preamp when you could buy the original for the same price?

  • Why would you get a clone of a BB Preamp when you could buy the original for the same price?

  • Invisi-Guitar!

  • there's more money in that board than there is in my car- vehicle, gas, insurance, rims, and CD's

  • Comment removed

  • hey jamey what do you use for ur patch cable?

  • @Morethanl1f3 lava cables

  • what w phenomenal rig!! any changes since then? i bet there are some new things ;] maybe shoot a new fall 2011 video?

  • Please tell me you use that banjo with this rig...!!!!

  • What speakers of ASW are in your cab?

  • I'm in love with your pedalboard!

  • rock n' roll _I..I

  • Why did you stop playing tennis ;)

  • Concerning the Musicomlab switcher... does it prevent true bypass pedals from popping when engaging them in the loop? More specifically, I'm curious about the POG 2. The pop I get from it when engaging it is annoying and I'm wondering if using a looper solves that issue. Your rig is great, man. I use a Morgan, too. Love it.

  • @anewstatic yea the musicomlab (mine at least its a newer version) doesnt have that popping problem. And i would believe that a looper would get rid of the problem because the pedal stays on and no pop would have to come from the pedal

  • @soaringuitarist Thanks man. I'm going to buy the new one. Sounds perfect for what I need.

  • DO you think that a love pedal englishmen will sound better going into a vox ac30c2 or a xotic effects AC Booster I know you have the bb preamp on your board

  • i wanted to know the name of pedal of the minute 4.00 . Sorry for my English !

  • @qeteimportaavs Roger Linn Adrenalin III

  • im gonna get a music com lab for my synth muwhaha

  • Hey Jamey, awesome rig you got there. I had a question. I'm planning to upgrade my rig to a stereo amp out like yours. The thing is my bypass strip only has mono out, therefore it seems I would have to put all my stereo effects after the bypass strip - which is not a bad way to do it - but I'm just wondering how you set up your pedals via your musicom and bypass strip so as to get stereo out. Also, do u know of any builders who would build custom bypass strips that have stereo out? thanksabunch

  • @MrJohnRhee his board probably runs like mine. The Timefactor is probably the last thing in his rig and not in any of the loops. so all his loopers go to the timefactor and stereo out. Thats the way i think his works. maybe he can chime in.

  • I could send a lot of money and stink at guitar or save my money and still stink.

  • @jgreensound you can't possibly stink as bad as jamey ice-ice baby

  • Hey Jamey,

Thanks for sharing your rig. You've inspired me to land a Musicomlab. My question in about using the MC-403 to power everything. Is that true? Does it provide enough amps for the TimeFactor and the Musicomlab. Those two units along with the Adrenalinn III seem to require more power than it provides. How do you make it work?

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • this guitar player can barely play....what an embarassment

  • @SuperNoobTroll Not really, He has very good feel and tone. That being said, I think he has too many pedals, But that is just my preference. Either way, He's a good musician, He doesn't seem arrogant and he knows what he is talking about.

  • @LegoBen HAHAHAHA what a joke.....thats the funniest shit I've heard in a while

  • @SuperNoobTroll Too bad it wasn't a joke.

  • @LegoBen r u his kid brother or what?

  • @SuperNoobTroll No. I've never met him, But from this video, I think he sounds good. After all, I'm a musician. You "SuperNoobTroll" are not.

  • @LegoBen thats right. I'm SuperNoobTroll!!! hahaha...Jamie Icee sux btw

  • @LegoBen you suck at music and you hide behind blocking people cuz you're embarrassed because you totally suck. u look like a flaming douchebag in all ur videos. even jamie 'vanilla' ice makes you look bad

  • Hey Dude, just a quick question that may or my not require a lengthy answer... Could you possible tell me the order of your daisy chain?... I know you have them going to your effects looper but whats your order i.e. time based effects, volume/eq based effects and drives and where does your fuzz and adrenalin pedal go?

  • How much did you spend for your whole pedal board setup

  • 2 things... 1...Why did you get rid of your Rockett Pedals? And 2...Can I have your Rockett Pedals?

  • Comment removed

  • how's the mini fuzz working out without being first on the chain? i'm sure you've heard that fuzz pedals are supposed to be first..just wondering :)

  • @jshinster1 It works great. Your not necessarily supposed to have a fuzz first, your just supposed to have it BEFORE a buffer or anything buffered. I have it after my passive volume pedal and before my Mr. Magic Buffer. So its 2nd in my chain.

  • what a utube moment

  • Hey Jamey, I'm thinking of picking up a Morgan and i was just wondering, what speakers are you using in the Morgan Cab?

  • @enm06 Austin Speakerworks! They are incredible!

  • Comment removed

  • That reverb pedal effect is so awesome. Great rig, Jamey

  • @InspiredProphecy Thanks!

  • Very nice!!!

  • this is not tone..less is more

  • @Bendrobert2005 just because he has a lot of options doesn't mean he has bad tone. He actually uses each pedal very well. I would agree with you if he had pedals on there for no purpose, but he uses every single one of those pedals in his GRO stuff to get unique sounds. So, I wouldn't necessarily harp on him for the stuff he uses.

  • @Bendrobert2005 Thats pretty relative. I play modern pop rock music. Im not in a blues band.

  • this is not tone..

  • do you run pedals in the effects loop of your amp??

  • Where can I find loop switchers like the black one on your board?

  • @metallingus34 Google Musicomlab, their site shows their distributors where you can order one. :)

  • Where can I find loop switchers like the black one on your board??????????

  • Hey Jamey! What are the detentions on your pedal board? and what 1/4 cables are you using to connect the pedals???

    You Rock!

  • Hey Jamey, so when you run the guitar through both amps do you use a foot switch or one of the amps outputs? And which keeps your tone better? Thanks a ton tone-man! You rock.

  • dude, your guitar is AWESOME, but dude, I have to say, having lights in your guitar is just ... wrong!

  • Dude, you're not a christian are you? You have like every christian electric guitar players dream board and much more

  • @JRNicholson27794 how ignorant, man. i'm sure a few muslims, hindus, agnostics, and wiccans would love to have his board too.

  • That lucite guitar seems terribly heavy.

  • @waltersmetak The guitar is actually incredibly light :)

  • Any chance you can do a demo of the bell, straight into the amp?

  • Why is the EF86 switch on the back and not n a front channel? The EF86 is a rocken circuit!

  • I believe the POG is a pitch shifter not "like an octave kind of thing".

  • @javiesta

The POG is actually an octaver. It has several functions, but mainly with the regular version he has, you get 2 octaves up and down, 1 octave up and down, and the dry signal. Then from there you can mess with the other settings for whatever. On the micro POG, you get 1 octave up and down and the dry signal.

  • @paladinfear It's a harmonizer,pitch shifter, octave, and ring modulator smart ass.

  • @javiesta

Actually, I wasn't being a smartass; I was just explaining the POG how I understood it. No need to be a dick about it.

  • @paladinfear Your band sucks and you have shit gear. My band rules and we have bombass gear.

  • @javiesta

Yet you still don't know shit about it, considering how POG stands for polyphonic octave generator. Shut the fuck up. "Bombass." lmao

  • Jamey, your rig is sick. Your videos inspired me to pick up a Musicomlab EFX MK3 and I LOVE it. I use it with a TimeFactor, RV5, King of Tone v4, etc. in front of a Dr. Z Stingray. I have two questions: Do you use your TimeFactor in one of the loops of the EFX, or do you use MIDI to switch it on and off and just put it before or after the EFX? I do the latter and experience a bit of latency. Is there any latency when you switch TimeFactor settings with the EFX via midi?

  • Do you put this on a rack or something like that? i have no idea how you could use all of those pedals without one.

  • is the power supply also feeding the timefactor? I have a time factor and the only system I have found to power it up (besides the included wall adaptor) is by a company named thegigrig, but they are english and I live in mexico so it's kinda hard to have it delivered all the way here, maybe the mxr/custom audio may be easier to find...

  • Damn... I need a job

  • I like your jorts... haha

  • Dude. Your Board is Siick!

  • I have the same question as Pwm5k. What's the order of your pedals? I'm assuming the Mr. Magic Buffer is first & on all the time. In your other videos you said that your Memory Man, TU-2, & DD-20 are going throught the 6-channel TBP looper. But I see that all 6 channels are labeled and have something plugged into them. Also, what's going through the loops of the MusicCon?

I think another detailed video about your signal path would be a great help! Keep rocking! Thanks!

  • Dude you're so nerdy... it's awesome!! ^^ Nice demo!!

  • hello Jamey, your pedalboard is really super! and I like your sound

Thank you to say to me or can I buy the same head"Reign amp"?

and what thinks you of Providence PEC-2, compared to EFX MK3? because I hesitate between the two!

    sorry for my English,;)

thank you in advance for your answer,

    ciao

  • when are we going to see springs 2011 rig, just to keep things consistent

  • Hi Jamey, can you explain how u arrange your 16 pedals for the 8 loops in musicomlab mkIII? And how you work with the 6-loops effect switcher which is beside the musicomlab mkIII? Because I planning to buy a musicomlab mkIII, hope you can tell me how it works. thanks!

  • Very cool set up, I love your board but you have an incredible amount of noise. You should so something about that.

  • this guy barely knows anything about what hes saying

  • Nice video dude.. Like the tone alot.

  • On the Morgan are you running into the AC20 side or the TB side? Also, is that the 1x12 or 2x12 cabinet?

  • Comment removed

  • Just go with the AXE-FX Ultra

  • I thoguht you were going to play the star wars theme when you switched the POG on :P

  • Curious why you keep the DD-20 on board. I have one and it does well for me, but am thinking of upgrading to the Timefactor. Just wondering what you use the DD-20 for that the Timefactor and DMM can't cover. Great sound.

  • @elementdriv3r the dd-20 is great for anything on the fly and I love its analogue setting. If I am playing w/ any one other than GRO and am just tapping tempos i always use the DD20. The Eventide is killer for GRO b/c all my songs are saved in presets and I control it via midi. However the TF is much harder to use on the fly and I find the warm DD20 sounds to be great when I dont have time to create midi presets.

  • tone freak but he is sick

  • hey jamey.. what order would u recommend to put ur wha pedal in. ive been told many things and i cant decide. what would u suggest?

  • Jamey, is your board the 40X18 pro series by trailer trash??

  • That blue sky is prolly the most beautiful pedal i have ever heard!!! i'm about to get one lol!

  • Hey Jamey, are you using an analysis plus black oval from your guitar to your board?

  • you gotta go to bob bradshaw...

  • Your sound is like Edge sound ! It's amazing

  • Can anyone help my find a link to the adrenalin pedal?

  • Is the Bell Jazzblaster have a plexiglass body?

  • Does this guy have endorsements, a rich daddy, or just doesn't give a shit that he has a $60,000 credit card bill?

  • @MMZen Well, I mean he's in a great band touring with all kinds of amazing talent, so I'm pretty sure he's getting some good money from that :P lol

  • @MMZen no, just a band with a billboard top 20 single. that's all.

  • @41224jason

well I for one am impressed.

  • @MMZen Endorsements man. Check out Green River Ordinance. They're all over the place.

  • @MMZen Endorsements man. Check out Green River Ordinance. They're all over the place.

  • Wow. Tiny fuzz!!!

  • I have searched and searched and can't seem to find the JHS Klone clone. Its not even on their website.. How can I get one?

  • @tcroyal960 Email JHS directly. There about 250$ But he can only make clones when the actual pedal is out of production. So hurry up and order your before the Klons are back in production

  • DAMMNNN!! tHIS IS FUCKIN AWESOME

  • where is your wah-wah???

  • if you have an eventide AND a DMM, why would you need to dd20?

Btw, dmm sounds awesome. Proud to be an owner of one!

  • Hi jamey thanks for your videos,

i would appreciate if you can help me with my musicomlab. I can change my presets from my eventide delay that is loop 1 connected with midi cable and i have eventide chorus that is connected on loop2, so, am i able to change presets from it alson? i have the same version musicomlab you have,

    Thanks man.

  • With all the effects you run, have you considered building a rig with Custom Audio Electronics (Bob Bradshaw) and using your best OD/Dist/Fuzz w/ Multieffects rack?

  • WOW your tone must suffer big time.

  • @TheSAJ11 Its actually SUPER clean. I am using a killer power supply, great cables running a buffer on the front and Everything is going thru a true bypass strip or the musicom which is crystal clear.

  • @TheSAJ11 as long as you run it through a looper as Jamey is here, then you should be ok running this many pedals.

  • @TheSAJ11 how? everthing is true bypassed, a good powersupply, and i presume all geroge Ls. no tone loss here except cleanness!

  • why whammy, not expression+eventide?
