An unnerving portrayal of the caustic world faced by many young Native Australians. Well done all round to Cast and Crew for making this subject interesting and high profile. And Guys, stop falling in love with Mellisa and take an interest in Aboriginal renewal Projects.
dirty fuckin boongs these cunts are menaces in australia cant even walk down the street of perth without one of these scums askin for a smoke or a dollar for the bus
Being American and a speaker behind NativeWays of the Native American culture and also a B.A in Anthropology this movie is the best expression of a cultural kepting itself alive. How you can disagree? ITs sad that here many Native American children do not know how to speak their tribes language. Those who think this moive doesnt show anything have already had an intolerant attitude to Aboriginals. If the story was the same but they're white the moive would be classified as more artistic. Art!!!
Coupla coons get fucked up. Whats the big deal with this movie??? Coons get fucked up, go on a bender, sober up, regret their acions??? Whats the big deal???? it takes a long time to tell us nothing. This film ais a pile of shit and I'll never get those two hours back again...
Worse movie ever. What was the point? Can someone please explain the moral of it. What would have been more realistic is if they just stayed under the bridge sniffing petrol, instead of getting better.
@sak868 Is it a foreign film when it comes from Australia which is an English speaking country? What qualifies as a foreign film? Outside America? How more foreign can you get than the oldest race on the planet, the Australian Aborigines? From their perspective, we are the foreigners. I'm so glad that they are being given the proper forum to express their talent, and for us to learn the subtlties that are not allowed us in our homogonized fast food advertizing closed lives.
@jerramy Of course from their perspective we're foreigners. We're foreigners to them, and they're foreigners to us. What does that matter to anything?

Incredible film. Takes a hard look at what is going on in Aboriginal Australia today.
Very unfortunate so many racist, ignorant people commented on this thread... Reveals how sadly lost and confused many people are.
Australia has some serious healing to do as a nation... As do we all... But for god's sake, its 2011, not 1911.

This was a great film. It had some very depressing moments. But it had a happy ending.
