  • haha early in video mike ricci skated by holy shit i remember that long haired guy......palffy was a sick player

  • According to his wife he beat up, Ziggy had hands of cement.

  • anyone know why theyre wearing away jerseys at home?

  • @blUEpOOL17 Back then in the NHL the home team wore white and the road tea mwore dark.

  • @deadhead82 when did they switch? cuz i remember them wearin away jerseys at home like two or three years ago

  • @blUEpOOL17 I believe they started that 2 years ago. maybe 3.

  • @deadhead82 ohhhhhhhhh okay thankss

  • @deadhead82 i think it was a bit after the strike

  • @deadhead82

It was something like 2004 or something when they made the switch, something to do with logistics since sometimes teams on the road would take both their coloured AND alternates with them, so they did the switch to make it easier that way.

  • @blUEpOOL17 03-04 this is from the 02-03 season

  • @blUEpOOL17 It was after the lockout in 04 they switched it

  • Ziggy the machine, he is great player.

  • hahah Zigo Palffy ..:-)

si ho pamatuju ,jak se porval ve Zline pri lize .Prijela Dukla Trencin a Palffy se popral s ohlavu vyssim nasim hracem :-)

  • he is a great player... no doubt :)

  • palfy is Slovak :D

  • no a ?

  • maybe the kings will get alot better when that guy hickey starts living up to his draft position

  • I tohuoght they would have gotten more for Cammalleri. I heard Dustin Brown and Avery got into some fisticuffs in the locker room, which resulted in his departure. Belanger was injury prone, but he did score the GW goal in the Game 4 comeback vs Detroit in the 2001 playoffs.

  • Why would they let Avery go? to me the more logical decision would be to let Brown go, only cause he had less numbers than Avery, and there's another example, Belanger would fade in and out with the Kings but with the Wild, he became a much better player

  • Brown had more potential. Now he's the captain and i think a much more valuable player. He can score, he hits, he'll fight and do it alot better than Avery. I liked Avery too, but i'd rather much have Brown. Belanger has become a better player with Minnesota, but i'd still rather have Jack Johnson. I think he's a more valuable asset than Belanger.

  • Brown's the captain? Wow I thought that it would be Kopitar or Frolov, I haven't seen Brown play since 07 so I don't really know if he did get better or not, but if he did good for him, I've never seen JJ play at all but I'm gonna look around for videos of his playing, I hear he's good though

  • Drew Doughty !!!

  • who's that?

  • your kidding right?

  • no offense or anything but I really didn't know who that was, I just looked him up, he plays for the Kings right?

  • 2nd overall pick in 2008 draft. plays defense for the Kings. Only 19. guna be a norris winner one day. the guy just "has it". knows how to play the game.

  • 2nd overall? from where? Canada? Europe?

  • Canada.

  • nice, I think I might watch the rest of the teams this year a little more this year, the only time I watch the Kings or the Ducks play is when they play the Oilers or when they're playing other teams I like, but you know how it is here in LA, Centre Ice costs so much, like it's a nut sack transplant or something but it is totally worth it

  • its not too much out here. way cheaper than the NFL. MLB and NBA packages.

  • no way dude, I live in the (shitty) SFV and the NFL NBA and MLB packages are like $60 and when I asked how much the NHL package was they said $90 plus other fees cause of some satellite bullshit cause it's Canadian broadcasts, bullshit man, only 6 broadcasts are Canadian

  • really. i have had it for awhile. they just charge me for it every time the season starts. so u live out here. i was thinking ur in canada. lol.

  • maybe it's cause you got it a while ago, I just looked up their prices when this season ended, I'm telling you man, it sucks for hockey fans out here, unless you got the money, but yeah man, I live out here, you though I was from Canada cause I like the Oilers? lol everybody thinks that and when I tell them I'm from LA they're like WTF? even the Oiler fan communities think I'm BSing them

  • LOL. Which city u from? So why do you like the Oilers ?

  • I live out here in Canoga Park, shitty town if you ask me, but then again, the whole SFV is crap, I'd rather live out downtown or somewhere else but here lol, well, me liking the Oilers is a long story but I'll cut it short, 1992, my best friend's older brother, Devils fan, started watching hockey at his house, saw Mark Messier, Jari Kurri and Esa Tikkanen play, fell in love with the Oilers, then learned that Gretzky played for them, ever since then Loyal To The Oil lol

  • kings suck

  • Don't be upset that the Kings got the better end of the Visnovsky trade. The Kings are becoming a force to be reckoned with. Oh yeah, lets not forget how you guys handed the Ducks their first Stanley Cup by giving them Pronger.

  • well, better the ducks get a cup than the queens, forty plus years and nothing to show for it

  • The Ducks please. That's a Mickey Mouse franchise. All the fans there dont know any players in the league other than the guys on their own team. they dont even deserve a NHL team. and fuck everything before the lockout. you guys won cups when goalies tried stopping shots by kicking at them. i dont care about what happened 20 years ago. What's happening now is all that is important.

  • So then how come 20-25 years ago when the goalies kicked and punched pucks away and Marcel Dionne was getting Art Ross trophies, the Kings didn't get a Cup? I mean, you guys had what? the Triple Crown Line? what was that then? you should have easily won a Cup then

  • who cares. quit living in the past. wake up and realize the Oilers aren't going anywhere. I dont care how many cups the team has. Are those guys on the team now? Dont be upset that the Oilers dont got a future. The couldn't even get Heatley to join the squad. At least the Kings are team on the rise. Lombardi is taking this team in the right direction. The Cup will be the Kings'.

  • maybe in another 40 years i mean, not even with gretzky were u able to get a cup, and btw, the Oil is in the same situation the queens are

  • i'll admit we should have won with Gretz, but dont say the Oilers are in the same situation the Kings are. lol. we'll see who has the last laugh.

  • I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see the Kings win a cup, I'm from LA and I hate the lakers and everyone else, the Kings are the only team without a championship and it would be cool if they got a Cup, but your gotta admit, right now, they're sucking a lot, anyway, I'd rather see the Oilers win it, but if you think about it, both teams are in similar situations, years without playoff appearances, lots of "rebuilding" going on, getting "star" players that don't pan out

  • Waiting for the young players to mature and get better, that's what they both have in common right now, you also gotta realize that just because a team has one or two good players, it doesn't mean that they're gonna win the cup, the Oilers in the 80's had Gretzky, Moose, Kurri, Coffey, Fuhr, and the Kings in 93 had Gretz, Kurri, Robitaille, McSorley and some other guys I can't remember right now, but with those goalies in LA not backing up their scorers, there's no way that's gonna work

  • Jonathon Quick isnt a good goalie? he still has to prove himself more, but hes better than having LaBarbra i net and Cloutier. those guys werent guna get us anywhere. And one or two good players? Kopitar, Brown, Doughty, Johnson, Frolov. they arent good players? the Kings will still probably need to acquire a natural goal scorer like a Kovalchuk. we prob wont win the cup this yr, but we're sure as hell guna improve from last year. i tihnk we'll make the playoffs.

  • Personally I don't think Quick is a good goalie, better than the other two yeah and Garon, the last good goalie I saw in LA was Chekmanek, if anything it'll be a couple more years until these guys on the team now really mature, but see, the gods of the Kings team are now realizing that they shouldn't have gotten rid of their veterans, Blake is doing real good in SJ, Camalleri, Avery, they shouldn't have got rid of them, and I say this cause of the Smyth acquisition, they're getting vets again

  • Sure, Smyth is a good player but the only guy I think he'll be able to connect with is Frolov, cause he's the only one in the team with the most experience, if anything, by the end of next year, Smyth will be #1 in points in the team, and this is what I mean, both teams have a bunch of kids with 2 or 3 veterans with a 2nd rated star helping the younger guys mature, but there's an imbalance within the teams, either the scorers aren't backed by a good goalie or vice-versa

  • I think Kopitar will lead the the Kings in points while Smyth might in goals. The Kings goaltending situation, i think, is finally solved. The defense will still have to mature some more. i think Johnson will become the player they predicted just guna take longer than we wud have liked. I think for the first time in a while the Kings won't have any dead weight in the lineup. (Armstrong, Calder, Preissing, Gauthier.) What did you think of Patrick O'Sullivan last season.

  • Patty O was pretty good, he's got solid numbers and personally I think he'll do better later on, hopefully the jackasses at the Oilers front office don't let him go (they've been doing that to most of our good players these last couple of years) as of the dead weight, I actually thought some of those guys were good, I always thought that Armstrong was a good player cause you know when you ride the busses in LA and they got that commercial with LA teams and he's in it? I thot maybe he was a star

  • He was good in the locker room and on the bench, but when you don't produce it tough to keep you around. calder had a hard time finishing. I cant tell you how many times i'd yell at the TV. Gauthier and Preissing were just fillers. I don't think the Kings need to fill holes like that anymore. i was kinda pissed that we traded Sully, but its been proven that when you hold out or file for arbitration, Lombardi is guna move you. Glad i didnt buy that Cammalleri jersey a few years back.

  • haha I know what you mean, I swear sometimes you feel like you could do better than some of the guys on your team, but with people like Lombardi and in our case Mac T (now Pat Q who will probably just do as bad if not worse) all I really expect is for them to fuck up several years in a row and just say they're rebuilding, btw, I never really knew why they traded Cammalleri, I always thought that he, Avery and Belanger were really good players

  • and I feel you on the jersey thing, I bought my Smyth jersey a month before he got traded to the fishsticks
