swait do you have the crossbow yet if you do set up a line of trap bolts and piss him off so he charges you if not shoot a barrel with like 7 proximity mines and then pick it up with telikinesis and throw it at him it will cause an ass load of damage so he wont have time to heal hope this helps =D

This happened to me yesterday. After a couple rapid fire shots of explosive buck and like three frag gernades, I knew the big daddy was bugged and I moved on. I also found a little sister seperated from her big daddy. Hespastus has alot of bugs :(
