I don't know about the rest of you, but I really hate it when a crucial and important thing such as a murder gets left out and the movie ends with no explanation whatsoever of what happened.
The ending of this movie always really disturbs me, how Penn's seemingly normal everyday blue collar man just snaps and kills a random girl like that. Definately one of Altman's more daring films.
cos he went crazy! his wife is a sex line operator but to him she's a cold fish kind of so all this sexual frustration built up till he clubbed that cunt's brains in.
