@JazzBluesClassical42 I have forgotten the original picture but the one you see above is my version of it. The original was a lot differant, I made some colour enhancements, I can send it to ya if you like.
it's a shame that classical music doesn't have as much listeners on youtube as the young pop stars of today does, when they're so much more beautiful and meaningful, isn't it? Love the 2nd movement. .
I heard the same story, but the one I heard had a little more detail. When he saw the devil, the devil asked to be his assistant. Skeptical, the composer handed the devil his violin. He said that the devil played so beautifully, that the composer could not remember the entire sonata.
Did you know that the devil's trill is named that way because Tartini said it was inspired by a dream he had, where the devil was playing the violin for him. The music he played was the most beautiful piece Tartini had ever heard, and when he woke up after that dream he tried to write it down. It's considered to be the best piece by Tartini, but he claims it's nowhere near as beautiful as the music the devil was playing.
@walatalalaw The devil, formerly known as Lucifer, meaning light-bearer or Morning Star, was also the greatest Tempter. What else could be so enticing as something of great beauty? Man finds beautiful things alluring and are easily bewitched by them. It is easy to fall into temptation when you're offered something so breathtaking, no?
@leafress Yes, it realy is :) And this temptation had a curse hidden in it: the Devil showed Tartini something so beautiful a man could never recreate it, and cursed him by making him know he would never be able to hear such beauty again, and he would never be as good a musician as the Devil. No matter how long he tried to write down those notes, Tartini knew he would never be able to come close to the Devil's music. He would never write the most beautiful piece he ever heard. THAT is a curse!
@walatalalaw perfection is an illusion, any human in this world is obsessed with perfection yet his nature stops him from achieveing something that is above his power of conception... you can make a cube 99.99999% perfect, but that's the limit.... maybe this is why it is say that no living being is allowed to see God...d(^_^)b

@walatalalaw I did hear that, it's very interesting. Such a beautiful piece, regardless of the comparison he makes to his dream.
