  • taking care of business in a flash!

  • cont. and beyond your control you don't start out saying or planning it it just happens I'm a nurse and I know better you just make excuses for yourself if I could get a doctor to give me what I wanted what do you think Elvis got out of his own personal physician. I can just imagine something to wake up something for pain that might be phantom pain but your brain wants more sleeping pills after awhile you have to increase the dose to achieve the same effect Elvis died from respiratory failure c

  • I'm a Registered Nurse who got hurt at work on a leg that has a birth defect so workmanship comp would pay for the required surgery the pain has continued to increase as has me dose and dosage of Norco. Five years ago I lost my husband now I take Xanax to help panic and anxiety attacks a couple years ago I started drinking to help me fall asleep even though I know you aren't suppose to drink with these meds. I'm now a alcoholic and addicted to prescription drugs that's how it happens slow and

  • @TheOldiesJukeBox First off Elvis apparently studied everyday since he met Ed Parker in '60 so that's 17 years - He was introduced to Rhee in '70 and by '73 Rhee promoted him to a higher rank that Rhee! - Come on - only higher ranks can make a high rank! And to go from zero to 7th in 3 years? NOBODY can do that. And by the way in Ed Parker's Kenpo you get graded all the way to 7th dan - the rest are honourary and awarded for time served - and the skill level is exceptional not the level of Elvis

  • @mortaliumanimos God may well be his judge in so far as his character goes - a post up here means Elvis gets judges on his Martial Art abilities and as an apparent 7th/8th dan and based on the evidence - he been found wanting. - As for your 'could have happened to anybody' comment - No, not really - drugs and self indulgence got him there - he knew that himself - and get your facts right - he's been judged based on his lack of skill in Martial Arts not as a performer ok?

  • @mortaliumanimos Well basically you're wrong - Rhee admitted that he gave Elvis a 7th degree - which is kind of funny as he was only a 6th at the time - check his own website - As for his Kenpo Blackbelts well I found an auction site where they are selling Elvis's Blue Belt cert- well below Black in '74 yet earlier that year I note Elvis & Parker are photoed together with Elvis in a 7th dan and Parker in an 8th dan belt - Parker is also the one that signed off on the Blue cert - he was no 8th

  • @TheOldiesJukeBox There's a LOT to post; if you're truly interested in finding out the TRUTH, and not just haggling here, you can message omurchu12 privately and he can send you the links, no prob. There's some very interesting information that we dug up. If you look up 'Elvis New Gladiators' on here (averyshakyproduction is the channel) and look and listen, you'll see why we're dismayed that THIS was the footage that Elvis insisted on filming. HE's proving my argument all by himself, sadly.

  • @TheOldiesJukeBox Bill did NOT 'criticise' Elvis' skills; but you do have to remember that his friends were protecting the reputation of a legend in the making at the time this was filmed, and for many years after. In Kenpo karate the ranking system requires a certain number of time between each rank; Elvis had not been at KENPO long enough to attain each rank from 1st-Dan. Again, if you look at the certificates, they are marked 'HONORARY'. He did NOT test for them. It's that simple. AWARDED.

  • @TheOldiesJukeBox I've actually often cited his bad toe as a reason for his poor performance; don't misunderstand. A lot of this started because a friend wanted to develop a new documentary about Elvis's Kenpo studies but couldn't find good footage. Then other things started coming to light about the authenticity of Elvis' ranks. Ranks should be TESTED for, NOT 'awarded'. Those of us who have been students & instructors feel it's unfair. He should have waited to film this; now it's a mockery.

  • @mortaliumanimos You'll be interested to know that omurchu12 was just at a seminar with Bill Wallace and got to talk directly to him about Elvis; I'm sure he'll post a response. He also studies Kenpo Karate, just like Elvis did, & is well familiar with their grading system. This IS supposed to be a demo showing full-contact skills: The footage was for a movie, which was never finished but WAS released. For the record, we're both fans of Elvis' music, but sadly, not his MA skills. Sorry.

  • @mortaliumanimos This demo's part of a test that was being given at the facility for one of the students there. They don't include that, since this was supposed to be about Elvis, but I've read interviews w/people that were there. I've done a LOT of research on this, trying to determine the authenticity of his 7th & 8th-Dan ranks, which ARE marked 'HONORARY": NOT TESTED FOR. He may have been good, but I've yet to see any footage of him being "EXCELLENT"--perhaps in the dojo he looked better.

  • @mortaliumanimos You might want to get your entire story straight first: This was NOT a brief demonstration, for one; this was meant to be part of a MOVIE that Elvis wanted to make about karate. Granted, he DID do it right after he'd had toe surgery and was not at his best, part of the reason he's wearing shoes for most of it. He should have waited. The DVD of the final cut they made of it exists and you might want to check it out. [continued]

  • @mortaliumanimos This is the same Elvis that was overweight on drugs and died on the toilet? An 8th dan ? Please.... He was no 8th - Rhee himself is only an 8th - still to this day - and he made Elvis an 7th? 8th? read what the certs say HONOURARY meaning given - NOT earned - I wonder if you even do the Martial Arts? - stop regurgitating some fanboy facts and do some real reading.

  • @mortaliumanimos This would be the same Master Rhee that Elvis gave 50000 to? If Elvis started training in '58 and died in '77 that's 19 years training - naw mate - he never had enough time to train - otherwise he would'nt have died in the shape he was in - Like I said read those certs - they are marked HONOURARY - they were given - not earned - I believe he got a Black belt - but his skills in clips are here are no better than a junior grade - pity - he was a great entertainer but no expert.

  • i think i can find better than this at any store

  • Per Gessle bought this!

  • @unobrunos how2 much did it sell for ?

  • my mom caught that ring! still has it.

  • @Mrninemrk what ring?

  • Making Music magazine is looking for Elvis videos for their contest. All videos will be promoted on the website and winners will receive yet to be released "Elvis on Tour" DVD. Read more about the contest at their website

  • b ware whaught you wish fo aunt b-

  • Elvis was a paper tiger. He couldn't have fought his way out of a paper bag. That's why when a real man, Mike Stone, took his bitch away, Elvis didn't do shit. He cowered in the jungle room and ate more pills. I heard he earned his black belt after paying Ed Parker off, no surprise there as Parker was a notorious fame slut and fake black belt himself.

  • @Azzbeeter Parker I'd have to disagree with you there - but the rest of it was spot on - Parker was blinded just like Rhee and should have graded Elvis on ability not Cadillacs and fur coats for the missus! Keep fighting the good fight mate.

  • You Want to Bad Ass A legend B^&&*( Well Let Me Tell you one thing im an Airborne Ranger Ive Trained Under the guy who has writin the SF handbook believe me hes my Caliber 7 th Black god bless Him the worllds greatest performer the King Elvis!

  • hey its the strung out loser. You're just jealous your crippled ass cant do a thing. once again, you make totally stupid unfounded remarks. Guess you havent researched Elvis enough to find out. But then with the intelligence of a mop, what would you know.

  • this isn't ebay dude. And why is Elvis' bum faded? Were you touching Elvis' bum?

  • Elvis Competed against a karate teacher i kno!! i saw a pic of him doing it and he looked drunk. IT was hawiian karate. Elvis was a black belt. lol

  • That is a half assed statement. Elvis was before my time, but a lot of the first generation Ed Parker BB's, at least the ones I ve come across will vouche for the king and tell you he earned his belt the way anyone else in Kenpo did, though blood, sweat, and pain. And personally, after reading so much about the guy, I gotta tell you, i agree with them. I dont think Elvis was the type to do anything half assed.

  • @metaron1977 He was graded to Black - he was AWARDED HONOURARY Dan grades after that - because there's no way if to get to 8th otherwise - and I suggest you re-read those certs - they are marked HONOURARY - It takes about 4-5 years to get a Balck Belt - and then about 23 years to progress to 8th - If you actually studied Kenpo you might know that - as for Rhee - he admits giving Elvis his 7th because Elvis asked him because 7 had a special meaning to him. He was no 8th - - his skills lack.

  • @metaron1977 He cartainlt did'nt do his drugs half assed - unlike his Martial Arts - he was a Black Belt but no way was he a 7th or 8th dan in anything - except eating!

  • muck

  • The TCB logo also includes lightnig bolt and in fact symbolises Taking Care Of Business In a Flash. You would think this parasite would get a basic fact like that correct

  • Aw! Look at Elvis throwing the teeny-tiny one inch punch!

  • Bruce Lee thought elvis karate.

  • I want a decanter too.

  • If I throw it on a carpet from 1 meter does it brake?

  • Elvis was an amazing singer and soooo sexy but from what iv seen was in NO WAY a GREAT martial artist.. he was just famous so ppl assume he was!

  • Dont get suckered by those who hate Elvis the great!!

  • being gullible is a terrible thing. Dnt get suckered all your life folks!

  • Visited Graceland & they have his karate suit on display & this display mentions his earned 2 black belts.

  • ooft everyone knows elvis could swing u about like an empty boilersuit even with his off balance kicks, jealousy is a terrible thing

  • I do luv Elvis's voice, acting and persona BUT-Huh, merit! wher is yer proof? Judge from the way he is not square in his silly little punches, his kicks are well off balance. He was not a MA ist. Come to my DoJo and I will prove it. My best lady fighter could put him on his ass.

Black Belt 35 yrs of the art of Kenpo & Shotokan Empty Hand.

  • i dout that, even if he returned today in his 70's he would kick her butt, no joke to this i have seen this man in action, no fake to this stuff, he was being easy on red and the other guy not to hurt them,

  • i agree 100%

if any of these guys knew anything about Martial Arts would agree too!

  • elvis was a very good kenpo karate practitioner. anybody that dosn't know that dosn't really know the true history of kenpo or karate or elvis

  • I not bothered about belts. I was a 6 ku green belt BUT i tell u, if that is best u seen? he could not do properly.. it was rubbish.. listen to us.. or whatever my friend.. He was still a great singer really tops..

  • To the Wankers who don't like Elvis, go comment on

your own Blogs. Your criticism says more about you

than a guy not around to defend himself.

  • Elvis is a great singer an performer a legend but sadly he was rubbish at Karate. Just a beginner with poor technique. All hype and he was given a honary black belt. This is sad, he should earn the belt. A disgrace really.

  • I've watched alot of people do karate and in my opinion elvis is the best. Your probably just jealous he could get a blackbelt and you can't. HAHAHAHAHAAAA!!

  • He was given black belt while he was in the army, for merit, not celebrity, he was one of the few Americans to ge it back then... It was the early 60s when martial arts were way out on the fringe...

  • Cool Image in The Kang Rhee TAE KWON DO Gi. Nobody promoted

The Martial Arts on stage like Elvis, so F**k the Wannabee Critics,

and Dojo Ballerinas. If you were'nt there, don't comment.

  • I'm a huge Elvis fan.

see channel darrmax for a cute little clip of the king.

  • a shame 4 Kenpo
