  • @dudshumane Me Too.

  • Played this album to death, in another time, when the world was young, tonight I feel so far away from home as well

  • One of Steve's Best songs this one, love it!

  • Beautiful. Wish I had checked him out more as a teenager in '79. Never too late to discover a great talent.

  • I have this album, given to me by Patrick Weathers when it first came out! We were all so very proud! I used to love listening to Steve and Patrick playing music in the Hub at USM in Hattiesburg, MS. Great memories of these great guys with great sounds! Steve has always been awsome! His music touches your soul and everyone can find their own personal connections in the words of his songs. Miss ya Steve!

  • This was my first concert in '79 in Virginia Beach Va. He stomped his boot on the wooden stage the whole concert. I've noticed in some of his other videos he has a wooden pad he stands on.

  • To all the great moments and the lonely moments of life we do not share with others.

A truly great insight into the human soul at its most vulnerable - even after almost 40 years have passed since it was recorded. Thanks, Steve

  • This is an all-time fave. I can't believe this one song never made into any movie soundtrack.

  • Been a fan for many years and finally saw Steve live last November in a small country pub in North Yorkshire.

Fantastic gig by a superb artist who is a true Southern Gent -

He signed all of my CD inserts and I have every one he has

    ever recorded.

  • I have loved Steve Forbert from the 70s. He's about my age, and dont we improve with age!!

    LJK England

  • very very underated songwriter

  • Wow! the year I was born! A little sad, but well done for sure!

  • Bellissimo album, pieno di ricordi e suggestioni.....Grande Steve.

  • got alive on arrival soon after it's release. Saw him 79 or 80, half set solo, then brought our the band. What a show, what a great pair of albums, Alive on Arrival & Jack Rabbit Slim. Hope to catch up with him again one of these years.

  • So go and find one of his shows. He still plays a couple of times a month at least. And tell him what you think. He is very approachable (if you get there early enough)

  • Steve Forbert has been my idol for 25 yrs, since i first heard the song back in 79,finally got to see him in Toronto, and had a chance to speak to him,and he had them put a chair up in front of the stage, and he even introduced me to the audience,as the man who made the trip all the way from Prince Edward Island just to take in his show, and at the end of his amazing performance,he gave me his capo, the same one you see on his guitar on the Jackrabbit Slim album.

  • this lad writes a killer tune does he not?

  • many, many of them!!!

  • i had this alburm.and i,ve just found it ...great..
