If you look at the evolution of man from the first civilizations to now, you'll see that we should be so much more advanced than we are now. War and greed from the first organized groups of humans would set back our intellectual progress time and time again. Where we could be now, had we continued progress uninterrupted, is so much more than we could imagine. Our current level of scientific and intellectual growth seems infinite.
