so, if i have this correct, i have to downgrade to 3.0 with itunes 8, and jailbreak that, and then download the custom 3.1.1 firmware and itunes 9 right?

(p.s. what does icy do? is it just like cydia?)

Yea, thats pretty much it. I dont know if you HAVE to use itunes 8, i used a 3.0 firmware to restore mine on itunes 9.0.1

But yes, you do have to downgrade, JB 3.0. Once you do that, you can simply restore with my firmware

Icy is alot like cydia.Little more lightweight in my opinion, but eh, just osmething about it im not fond of

I dont think it does matter. iTunes will my Pwn'd firmware as equal in version to the apple firmware, so it should just think your doing a system restore

I dont think it matters, i went from 3.0.1 JB to 3.1.1 JB, but obviously in my video i just updated with the custom firmware, so i think you'd be good.

I just read a few snippets that say your ipod touch must have been jailbreaken at 3.0 for this to work..i cant see why, but maybe i'll post how to downgrade later

this is true....u must be on jailbroken 3.0 to restore to a custom 3.1.1, it says so on the dev team blog....and for whoever needs to know, to downgrade to 3.0...just put ur ipod into dfu mode and shift restore to a 3.0 firmware
