Thank you so much for sharing this amazing video! I'm planning my son's birthday and I'll try to make the lion and the elephant. Aren't you going to teach us how to make the giraffe as well?
This is a great video. I'm making a circus cake and the lions that I made looked really awful. I'll try yours. I just hope I have enough time as the cake is due in a couple of days. Thanks for sharing.
It's amazing! I'm brazilian housewife I thinking was difficult to do the lion. So, I found your video, showing a super Easy Lion to do! My childrens go to love it! THANK YOU!!!!
you are amazingly talented and so so helpful! Really, thanks so much for the straightforward, easy to follow and entertaining instruction. There's no way I would ever have attempted this or any other decor without videos like this. Subscriber, for sure!
I love your video. It really shows a lot of details and information in a quick and consise manner. I will be making a jungle / sock monkey themed cake for my cousin's baby shower and I'll be using your videos for my inspiration. Thank you very much for your help.
Hi! I want to thank you for your help....I am new to cake decorating & have never made "figurines" and your directions were extremely helpful. The only suggestion I have would be to give more of an idea of the size/diameter of each "ball/circle" to help those of us who "dont have a clue"....LOL but other than that, it was perfect & when I am done, I will send pictures..thanks again!
Thank you! I just made your lion... your instructions were so helpful. I will send you pics as soon as I have a chance. I also made an elephant, giraffe and zebra based on your basic instructions. My daughter is so excited to see her finished cake! Thanks again!
This was wonderful! Thank you so much for sharing your talent! I am very new to working with fondant and want to do a circus animal cake for my son's first bithday and your tutorials are going to help me sooo much!!
Thank you so much for sharing this with us! I am amazed at how some charge for this knowledge but people like you are so giving. Thanks again and I can't wait to try it!
Just made this a few minutes ago using gumpaste. I made a smaller version, but it came out looking almost exactly the same. SOOOO cute!! Thank you for sharing. This was a life saver. Have a last minute cake order due this Fri afternoon, and with the help of your awesome tutorial, i am half way done!!
Oh I hope this is as easy as you made it look!! I have a jungle theme cake to do for next weekend and this person just doesn't understand (literally) that I've never done the animals or anything 3-d with fondant. Great tutitorial!!

how do you make your fondant hard enough to allow the animal to stay? mine melts/: any advise would help. thanks in advance!
s15villanueva 1 year ago
@s15villanueva you can use wilton's gum tex which will help harden the fondant or you can keep the figures in the over with the pilot light on.
very weird idea but it definitely works!

did you not use anything to attatch the mane? Like gum glue?
shana102083 1 year ago
@shana102083 nope!
usually if the fondant is tacky enough i dont use anything to hold it together.
other times i use water.
