This is was from the 90's (sadly the end of an era for quality hiphop/r&b). The trash they make now-a-days can't measure up to what WAS out there. As far as the beat goes; that was a sample from KRS 1's 'South Bronx' (i remember when that 1st came out). Now, there's nothing encouraging about 'our' music because it's all materialistic & fake now .. fail.

one thing most can agree on....is the 90's was a great time for r&b and hiphop and even rap...now there is no substance or heart in much music. corporations have taken over and the music is watered down and everyone has become a whore for money. it's sad....but things will eventually turn around. I am just glad I got to grow up with this music and experience how good good can be.

I love the song, but they did not need the brat up on it. I can not share the song with my family. It is not fun listening to songs when you have to listen to them by yourself. The instrumental is nice, the version with them singing is nicer, but the brat makes the song trashy.
