MGS5 has officially been announced with art work that shows Big Boss walking with a Dog. Big Boss is wearing combat gear while also wearing a cloak similar to the one The Boss wore in MGS3 only smaller. He also no longer has The Bandanna.... But regardless he still looks like a Badass.

Now let's not forget there's still one very important gap left in his story: the 80s. It's not covered in the games, and that's when he fought in the Mozambican Civil War, found Gray Fox again and taught Sniper Wolf before taking command of FOXHOUND once again in the early 90s.

And that's what we know, but I'm sure Kojima will surprise us once again.

Now, if they had to work to cram MGS4 onto Blu-Ray, can you imagine what they'd need to do with a 360 version? It'd have to be distributed amongst 5 or 6 dual-layer DVDs! @kittykitty101001 No. Well, kinda. In Metal Gear Solid Miller was killed by the game's antagonist Liquid Snake. I don't think I'm spoiling much by saying that the main character of that game as well as MG MG2 and MGS 4 is the son of Big Boss, player character of Peace Walker.

Also, you have an excellent choice of games. among the best in terms of story!

Best song ever, MGS series ha the best music in videogame history not to metion its storyboard and graphics as well. Beautiful masterpiece, I believe peacewalker is my favorite because you can feel and see everything Big Boss went through after snake eater and how he delt with his personal dilemmas when it came to the boss. MGS has alot of emotion etched into deepest corners of the storyline, so deep itll make feel compassion, hate, sorrow for the characters in the series. I salute you Big Boss.

Not sure who will agree with this, but I think Peace Walker is the best Metal Gear game of them all, period. There is the surface gameplay, but underneath? There is a story that keeps slashing at your heart; be it Big Boss taking ragtags and turning them into a war machine, taking on an absolutely insanely powerful enemy (more than once)...and WINNING, amidst music that makes you feel higher highs than should be humanly possible...to the 'old cassette-tape whispers' of what happened to Boss.

I was talking more about game ending glitches and bugs, which I have yet to run into in any MGS game. (Single player, not online.)

@Adamskaish I would, based on the HD version at least. I haven't played it on PSP. But yeah, it's a great game. It has the crisp gameplay of MGS4, without any hour long cutscenes.

The cutscenes in MGS4 completely ruined the experience for me. It had what, 9 hours of cutscenes and only about 4 hours of gameplay? That's pretty messed up. I got the Big Boss ranking in 2 hours 38 minutes, and I didn't even need to rush it. I knew I would succeed just by skipping the cutscenes, and I did.

@Adamskaish MGS4's one saving grace is that what little gameplay it has is fucking amazing. Which is why I like Peace Walker, because it's the same gameplay (albeit a little rougher around the edges) with none of the hassle of having to listen to all of these ridiculous characters spout completely irrelevant anti-war propaganda instead of progressing the already complicated story.

But if you've played the games, then you know what I mean lol. Compare MGS4's writing to MGS3's =/

In my opinion the ideal MGS game would be one that puts gameplay first, like Peace Walker did, only not in a level (or "Ops") based set up, and that doesn't penalize you so heavily for killing enemies. Basically what we were getting before MGS4, only with MGS4's more up to date gameplay.

@Adamskaish And yeah the whole anti-war aspect of MGS4 started to really get on my nerves lol. Obviously it's a major theme in this series, but it never felt so forced in any of the previous games. And it was always integrated into the story before. Like with the rail gun in MGS1. No one had to actually say "NUKES AAARR BAAD, SAVE THE CHILDREN!" there, because the idea in and of itself was terrifying.
