The wanderer killed Diablo in the first and becomes Diablo in the second.
No, the guy crossing the bridge is the warrior with Diablo's soulstone in his forehead. The guy bound to the stone is Tal Rasha now corrupted by Baal's soulstone.
Blizzard came out with what I think is the absolute best fictional depiction of an angel in any book, movie, game, or picture. Fascinating idea, with the "tentacle wings", so to speak. Love it.

The primes were not sealed by full soulstones. They were seals by the largest shards collected from the stones Tyrael had originall givin. They were inserted into people to help try and contain the primes. Remiving the stone from Tal's body broke that hold while still possessing the body. I truely never understood why it wasn't Marius that should have been the one to become possessed like the Wanderer was. Though his slip in sanity was enough consolation since Marius never did insert the stone.
The way I see it, both sides were weakened, Tyrael couldn't interfere on Earth because of the Heavens dictating to merely watch, yet Diablo was not in full form and Baal was trapped, but at full strength, it's unknown if Tyrael could beat one of either Prime Evils, although he is an Archangel, they were the Kings of Hell. Tyrael could have beatten them, however Marius distracted him giving Baal the chance free himself from the stone and drag Tyrael in and trap him to the stone.
About your post that Tyrael could beat Diablo and Baal, that reminded me of how my brother and I used to laugh at Tyrael for being lame when we were very young(actually we still do), cuz he failed to land a single hit on Diablo, especial since he had the upper hand: both Diablo's and his own physical position and he had that big sword.
I'd seriously like to see diablo and tyrael with full power in combat, that'll be awesome

This is the best Blizzard cinematic sequence of all time. Rather than just a rendering of an landmark event (like other blizzard cinematics -which are all wonderful), this one gives the drama and a progress in the storyline.
You are forgetting that he is not allowed to excercise his power in full since he is not even premitted to be in mortal realm. He was there only to slow diablo in his quest to free his brothers. As the heaven and hell are in time of truce he only acts thru a proxy which is the hero in the game. He is not allowed to interfere in human affairs at all. That is the ultimate point mortals must decide if they wish to resist or succomb to hell.
Tyrael has the ability to stop time as it was shown there on the video. He is one of the most powerful angels there are if he haddnt dropped his runeblade diablo would be toast.
As everyone else has said. That might be true if he maybe invested more points into dexterity. Did you see Diablo get hit at all when he had the chance? There is also a clear limitation to his time manipulation if Baal was able to attack him.
My favorite bit is when Tyrael instantaneously gives Marius the experience of being held by the scruff of the neck and forced to listen as he's rebuked. I wish I could to that to people. :-)

Many believe that it's actually Baal that does that, because in the end of Diablo 2, Marius says "Forgive me, Tyrael! I've failed!", and Baal, disguised as Tyrael replies "You didn't fail, old man. You did excactly what you were meant to.", before he kills Marius and takes the soulstone.
If it really was Tyrael that told him to do it... WTH was he thinking. Who in their right mind would think Marius would be cappable of getting the stone to the hellforge? Then again I'm also a little curious as to how, without the stone instered was Baal able to posses the body? It should have left and taken over Marius as Diablo did with the Wanderer.
Well unless they hire a whole team to work on Diablo 3 I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. They are STILL working on Starcraft 2 after abandoning Starcraft: Ghost and they are also working on 2 major WoW expansions. So I would assume no sooner than 2010. Appearently they only jsut started on it, assumption wise anyways that a 40 man side team is working on it. Which is rather sad since Diablo 2 is already pretty old, and they've stopped patching it.
Diablo 3 is already in the making. Leeks suggest it will be an MMO that takes place in heaven. But its speculation since games can take a drastic 360 from their original concept. Like Halo for example was going to be a stratagy type game like Command and Conquer. Starcraft Ghost was completely abandon and harvested to create Starcraft 2.
Tyrael is like the most sexy angel ever! But no, he's not sexy, he's just the Ultimate Coolness or....ggaaahhggh! i cant even explain it, I dig him so damn much, he pwns EVERYTHING!!! XD XD
To Humans yes. But to demons and angels Tyrael is a meddler that nearly costs the mortal realm. Undoubtably Blizzard's idea of an angel is quite unique and very cool looking. Doubtful to be the first, Unpopular animes have a habit of being other animations to the punch but never get recognized.
What a classic, one of the best movies in D2 and one of the best Online Game out there even to this day. Tyreal is Awesome :D.

I disagree, I think the choices for most of the Enlish voices are supurb. I love Tyrial and Marious's voices.

Yes. Blizzard utilizes some of the best voice actors in the world. My favorite is man who plays Kel'Thuzad :D
