most top spec ducatis will piss alover a fat busa, the torque of a l twin engine is massive compared to a four, not only that the hyabusa probably weighs about as mutch as a ford mondaeo, with a caravan on the back, dukes torque starts at the bottom, the busa will only start to pull when the engine reaches 45 million rpm, i have ridden both, and prefer the duke anyday
I own an Aprilia Mille-R and honestly would never entertain the idea of purchasing a Ducati...They are just too much trouble when it comes to owning a motorcycle...$1000 valve adjustment ?....I just had my V60 adjusted and it cost $400 including 4 spark plugs and a air filter.
@lsi624 don't know where you're taking your stuff to get maintained, here at the DEALERSHIP even its $650 for the valve adjustment , chain adjustment, and fluid changes...its more than 400 bucks, but its not a grand at least
@fezzie666 hey stoopid when you have 100.000-150.00 to buy a 2005 gsx1000r yoshimura ( 213 hp with s-rad =29.000),a 2009 cbr 1000rr abs,a 2008 zx10-r ,a yamaha r1 2009 ,a 2009 HAYABUSA ,and a 2010 B-KING THEN WE'LL SEE:)))) theese are my bikes :))) if you don't beliveme join me on facebook to see my profile or i can send you photos.......i own a big workshop too ......for motorcycles
ducatis are not meant to be drag bikes, oviously a big fat busa that weighs 550 lbs and has a bulky engine is faster on the staightaways but a 380lb ducati with a more compact efficient engine will smoke it on a track, somone should make a video of a busa racing a 1198 at like monza, it would be a joke
drag racing bikes isnt like drag racing a car, if either of those bikes wrapped the throttle they would end up on their arse, you have to be so gentle with these machines its untue, the reason the duke won was because of balls and skill.
i see people talking about how great the ducati is question is how many of u have ducati money, 2th of all have u ever had a chance to ride a hayabusa everyone i know who has had a chance to ride a busa or a zx14 has nothing but good things to say sure i bet half the owners of busas or zx14 hell anyone would love the chance to own a ducati but unless u got the money shut the hell up your only making yourself look like a fanboy
I love dukes but I'd say the busa would have owned it with a bit more space. Twins just can't produce the same high end hp as inline fours. They have loads of torque but less top end power.
@Vikingsuf wow. this was an unfair match. the hayabusa was atleast 1100cc and the ducati was an 848 or something, because it was CLEARLY not a 1098 or a 1198. so, the ducati only won because of a missed start. now if they were even cc's like a 1198 and like a hayabusa 1200 (if they even make one, dunno) then this would be even.
The Busa completely fluffs the start. An RGV250 would have beat him.

Yeah we all know Suzuki is the king for high-speed bikes...too bad he missed the start but caught up with Ducati very quick.
njoni007 2 years ago
That Ducati was only a PS1000LE for those who know.
It's not suppose to be a fast bike. The rider did a great job.

Hayabusa at 500lbs 155 stock horses. My 05 999R at 400 lbs and 158.7. At the wheel. Why bother?

but you're a shitty rider.

You must be psychic. More likley just a weasle at his computer.

my point is: the rider is more important than the specs.
