  • This movie is now on DVD. As you know the story is about a British girl (Carol White) who comes to San Francisco for the city's peace and love, but gets more than she expected.

  • One thing i really hated about the film though was the abortion Carol White's character had and the fact that Scott Hylands wanted to kill her own child....

i hate any kind of violence against youngsters....i guess thats what really put me off this film the most.

but apart from that...it was ok.

  • what i will give the thumbs up for is the lavish locations in and around San Francisco, the beautiful costumes worn by the whole cast and the really awsome soundtrack by the legendary John Williams...together with good tension because the film is quite intense to a really brilliant climatic scene at the end of the film....if it wasnt for those qualities the film would be zero....but its not...

    i rate it... 8/10.

  • I saw this for the first time in 1985 when i was 12....on a television broadcast.

and again a few hours ago at 38....on dvd

when i was 12 i absolutely loved this film and really wanted to see it again badly...

now at 38...it was'nt as good as i remember it...though i did watch it to the end and enjoyed it somewhat....

my overall thoughts of the film are that it a silly little yarn and doesnt really explain too much and is quite unfair both to the villain and the victims involved...

  • I was in this movie by mistake for about 2 seconds when it was filmed in San Francisco in September 1968....I was visiting my brother in the Bay Area when I was in the Army ready to leave for Vietnam in a week, where he took me on a site tour of downtown SF...It was in the evening in darkness when I noticed a bunch of lights starring toward my direction with two cars racing down street...this one guy yelled at me to get out of the way as a movie chase scene was being filmed.....too late!

  • @namdogtag that's a cool memory of the film - thank you for sharing it!

  • When this movie came out I was 15. The guy at the ticket booth asked me if I was 16 and I thought under 16 was a discount or something so I said no. I was not allowed in and my classmates I was with were really pissed at me for not just saying yes.

  • awsome film!

  • This was the first "M" rated movie I ever saw. Remember the "M" rating. LOL. Mature audiences only. I was 10-years old. LOL

  • I'd kill to see this whole movie.

  • @DA90027 Warner Archive released the DVD last May; if you check Amazon you can buy the movie.

  • @DA90027

    Me too.

  • mt dad and uncle their twins in that movie ronald and brian

  • oohhhh scary xxx,,babs

  • I saw this as a first run film when I was about 9 or 10. Trust me, my sister and I never forgot it - it scared the living daylights out of us. Though now I know it's not a classic in the true sense of the word, it is what you would call a very well made "B" movie, and it deserves to be seen. It's part of that Warner Brother Archive series - you can find it there, and it's worth the money to download or buy.....

  • this is a good movie,i watched it years ago and loved it...would love to see it again!

  • This is a brilliant underrated movie.
