Yeah, it's sad that some people don't have enough water, but what the heck does that have to do with this? It's a fountain. The water comes from the lake and goes back into the lake. They aren't sucking the water out from under thirsty Africans.

Don't remember the title and artist, but it's a reworking of the old song "Sama Dubai". The show also performs to a belly-dancing song, "Shik Shak Shok", Andrea Bocelli & Sarah Brightman's "Con Te Partiro" (Time To Say Goodbye) and "Baba Yetu" (Our Father) from Civilization 4. But really, why should a fountain in an Arabic country not perform some Arabic songs?

Also, 490 feet is quite the accomplishment, as WET already had engineering difficulties, first with Bellagio's 240-foot Shooters, and again with the 450-foot ones recently added. Though fountains have been built shooting impressive heights (630 or so for the Gateway Geyser in St. Louis, over 1,000 for King Fahd's Fountain) using pumps, WET's Shooter technology uses no pump at all, only compressed air. Water simply flows in through ports, which shut when the plug of air is pumped in for firing.

Well, yes, true - WET's technology has the problem of being extremely high-maintenance - there ARE other builders of fountain shows (though of a different variety than this) that have very low-maintenance equipment that works well the moment it's installed. But this show *is* still completely in testing phases, so I'll wait and see. Bellagio went through months of testing.

This is going to be a triumph for WET...I hope. The layout is more exciting than Bellagio, and it uses all the same basic effects (sans fog) but with larger Shooters - 490 feet compared with Bellagio's 460, supposedly - all the way down to the standard 100-foot MiniShooters, plus the few hundred Oarsmen seen here, the new spinning-fan Oarsmen, and colored light projectors. The Fountains Of Bellagio will be no less amazing, though.

hey body its just a test show and u can see clearly what they made in test show it will be opened mid of april and maybe u dont know that the water nozzel will throw the water till 500 feet equal to 50 storey building.
