  • twined to my emerson 1.4 hp centrifcal motor from that era. yours has more louvers tho. nice motor.

  • @Bigrick356 thanks. and i just picked up another wagner motor. its a 1/2hp version of the 1/4hp wagner i already had. it was on an old wooden table saw and probably hasnt run in 50 years judging on all the rust and all the levers on the saw are rusted up. but i lubed up the motor and it runs like new

  • I like the sound of the centrifugal switch reclosing. Instant start! 1/4hp size is the best. Yesterday I was looking at an Emerson 1/2hp motor at a flea market. It was a modern one and was smaller than your 1/4hp motor. I found another newer motor for a compressor. 5hp/dual capacitor, and not much larger than youe 1/4hp machine!! Contrast that to my 1/2hp GE RI motor, weighing over 100 pounds! Amazing how motors have changed!

  • i still prefer the old cast iron motors. built better!

  • i like that little motor, its so small but yet its so powerful and quite as usual!

  • Nice motor! it kinda looks like my GE that I have hooked up to a grinder in the garage, I might end up making a video of it for my other channel ^^

  • i hope you do! send it to me if you do please i love old motors!

  • Motorola was originally known as the Galvin company...I wonder if there is a relation to the makers of this motor?

  • yeah i just reasearhed it and found the same thing. i just bought the motor today 10/4/08 at a antique engine show for $10. i have never seen another like it!
