  • thank you for posting, beautifully done video, with taste,i like it

  • Ha riesumato quest'opera e la sua più nota aria... eccouno dei vari perché la Callas é lo spartiacque della lirica!

  • This is a perfect piece to show how singing could be touching in a deep sense even without a perfect voice.

    Bravo, Callas!

  • I HEARED THIS GORGEOUS ARIA IN LIKE 1984 AND I NEVER FORGOT IT ALL THESE YEARS! ALL THESE YEARS!!!!!! AND HERE IT IS THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART

  • Terrible! Her chubby cheek vocal production, are cautioned more than ever

  • Maria Callas unübertroffen !!! Genie der Oper !!!

  • SOO beautiful!

  • Anyone else see the opera ghost in this? Watch over her right shoulder!

  • Cans someone, please, post the lyrics?

  • Most beautiful, should have millions of views.

  • Absolutely BEATIFUL! Thank you very much for sharing :)

  • Adoro o cabelo ok

  • Ethereal.

She is singing from Heaven above the Aegean Sea.

Look at the sky to see and hear her everywhere...

  • When Callas redorded this aria, she had become a deeply sad person, fighting to find reasons to live. Of course, her voice... was not at all what it used to be... it was in pieces, but still the most truthful and touching voice ever.

  • Great.

    Thank you for sharing.

  • When did this recording took place?. She sounds great!!!. Love her!

  • @ezayi 1969 in PARIS!!

  • @MariaCallasLegend Thanks! :)

  • I like it better when she drops the octave

  • I have listened to so many other singers sing this in their pristine prime, with perfect voices, and none sings it as hauntingly or beautifully as this. What an imaginative musical genius we had in Callas.

  • @Shahrdad 100% agree with you :-)

  • What a wonderful video!

    Tks for posting.

  • Thank you for posting this !

  • These were recorded after Callas spent some number of months working with her teacher, again, and it shows! This is quite nice.

  • @kgarmaker123 She returned to de Hildago? I didn' t know that.

  • @baritonebynight John Ardoin in his cover notes for this album( released as a vinyl record) says that Callas resumed study with Hildago and developed a true ppp and that her voice, was a lot steadier, but still could not take much pressure above the staff. Yes.. thats what he said, and he was one of her closest friends, so I believe that it happened.

  • why is someone calling the beautiful romanza di Medora a soundtrack??

  • Very beautiful video. Congratulations.

  • i wonder what makes you dislike the aria? is it the singing, the composition, the story ?

    and I could hardly call a "CALLAS-sung-aria" a soundtrack !!!

  • Please, remove that stupid comment. Thank you.

  • I thank you for keeping some of my videos, this one in particular was very special to me.

  • Glad you are back .... It is great having you around :)
