Anyone who doesn't like the B chord ( I'm a B hater with big finger's) you can play it like the A flat bar chord only further up the neck a couple of fret's.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the comments and sorry this response has taken so long. The strumming pattern for the verse is

D (small pause) DDUUDDDU (straight after the last U is back to the first D followed by the pause again)

Play the first D and sing the word "grew" on the second D. Go through it twice before changing chord. You should change chord on the word "scenes". Only go through it once on the Amaj 7 chord.
