In terms of Smogon, though Reshiram has a larger movepool, wouldn't Zekrom be more useful? Seeing as how it could sweep Kyogre off it's feet, and a shuca berry could defend it from Groudon. Not to mention, it can learn Dragon Tail, should it encounter Groudon, so it could push it back and give the player a chance to switch in. What d you think? I'm not a competitive player, but i'm usually interested in what smogon has to say about pokemon debates.

@drybowserman9091 You'll want to scarf the Zekrom. Scarf Kyogre is popular as all hell, and you need to be able to stop that. Zekrom has a measly base 90 speed stat, keeping it at the bottom of Uber speed tiers. What's more, Groudon has plently of moves to make Zekrom cry, besides EQ. Groudon ironically is a great partner for Kyogre, since they can beat their individual checks easily. Rock Polish and thunder wave brings down most threats.

@drybowserman9091 Zekrom is an inferior user of Dragon Tail, since his weakness are very easily taken advantage in Ubers, without too many useful resistances to balance it out. He lacks the sheer bulk of Giratina or Groudon who is in a better position defensively already, or Dialga's broad resists. And then we have the Great Wall that is Lugia, who is the best wall. Seriously. Multiscale just puts it over the top.

So no, no Dragon Tail. Phazers need to not die instantly if they mispredict.

@drybowserman9091 You don't have to scarf Zekrom if you don't want to, just keep in mind that it will hamper its ability to check Kyogre. It also works well mixed, and acts as a lure (Predict a Groudon switch-in to Bolt and fire off a Draco Meteor to your enemy's horror.)

When you say Reshiram has a larger pool of moves to work with, I would respond by saying it has only Focus Blast (Miss!) to Complement its STABs and Flame Charge for boosting.

@drybowserman9091 The sad truth of Ubers is that yes, it is filled with amateurs who just wanted to use the legendaries and other powerful mons in play. In short, if you have even the most basic competence level, you can rank a bit. Most people quit as soon as you get a fair bit of setup in ( i.e. Catch obvious Espeon switch with Dark Pulse or Nasty Plot, Dark Void the next mon and set up plot with Stealth Rocks up)
