@redghost105 the car made 1017 at the wheels at low boost then did 346kph,they then wound uo the boost to 45psi which acording to the jap engineers took it up 1350hp but blew a head gasket,it was geard for over 400kph,and the roads here in NZ are only about 5-6 meters wide try staying on that at 346! watch for the white smoke at the start of the run as he bottoms out on a bump at over 340,its a shit road
the bugatti and the skyline are two different world. the bugatti made to be a really special high-end car with the newest and most expensive parts. the skyline is way more cheaper so we can't expect the same relaibility from that. i like both cars but i don't think i will ever buy one of them.

@OHNGAI Street legal as in, it isn't a street car at all. HP output has very little to do with a car being street legal, atleast unless you bring emissions and such into it. There is a Gallardo here URs shop car putting near 2000 to the ground and is still "street legal" In every way except it will not pass emissions. When I said street legal cars, I wasn't talking about HP but the fact that it's a drag car. Heat treatments GTR that is.

@OHNGAI Yea it varies from place to place. Some are fairly strict while others call for street tire and headlights, that's it. The term daily driver is a pretty loose term as well. I think driven regularly is better. Daily driver to me implys it's your main mode of transportation. A 1200hp Skyline or anything of that level doesn't seem like a good one. But then again I could be mistaken.
@sss3oood Aerodynamics and weight has everything to do with that. It doesn't mean that the GTR is "slow" it means that the GTR is hindered by its frontal plane and it's lack of Carbon Fiber and Magnesium.
It blew the head gasket because the Inline 6 crankshaft, even though power delivery is smooth and electric-like, it cannot handle the shear stresses for a long period while doing above 200mph.

@redghost105 the car made 1017 at the wheels at low boost then did 346kph,they then wound uo the boost to 45psi which acording to the jap engineers took it up 1350hp but blew a head gasket,it was geard for over 400kph,and the roads here in NZ are only about 5-6 meters wide try staying on that at 346! watch for the white smoke at the start of the run as he bottoms out on a bump at over 340,its a shit road

the bugatti and the skyline are two different world. the bugatti made to be a really special high-end car with the newest and most expensive parts. the skyline is way more cheaper so we can't expect the same relaibility from that. i like both cars but i don't think i will ever buy one of them.

GTR Record max of 240mph, and buggati of 260mph.. hmm. 1.3 mill on a buggati, or 25,000 on a skyline. il have to go with the skyline. "the shit gtr is slow" which means "the buggati is faster". good explanantion.

@OHNGAI That is what you're paying for. All the Veyron has give it the ability go through tank after tank after tank of gas at top speed and will not hurt a thing except your wallet for the fuel. If they Veyron breaks down Buggati ships it back for you. While this strung out RB blew a headgasket after 8 and still "only" hit 346 KPH with 1300 hp? The car deserves respect but I'd compare it to other purpose built top end mile cars that would eat it sadly, not a stock hyper car.

@iPROFITDON it was only 1017hp when it did 346...and the car was built for 0-300kph tests not top speed...it only done 8 runs in nz,it doesnt take into account all the runs it done in japan where it launchs at 8500rpm. and the 346kph was the average from 2 runs 1 each way over a measure mile on a true public road unlike monster test tracks in europe,i assure you its not a strung out RB at only 8500 rpm ther are plenty doing 10,000 -14,000 rpm and its not windtunnel tuned

I've heard Keir's GTR but its doesn't sound close to 14000 rpm, maybe a little over 10k. And don't quote me, but I believe the drag coefficient of the Veyron is 0.36 while it's 0.34 for the R34 giving the R34 a lower dc making it more aerodynamic?

@OHNGAI Street legal as in, it isn't a street car at all. HP output has very little to do with a car being street legal, atleast unless you bring emissions and such into it. There is a Gallardo here URs shop car putting near 2000 to the ground and is still "street legal" In every way except it will not pass emissions. When I said street legal cars, I wasn't talking about HP but the fact that it's a drag car. Heat treatments GTR that is.

@OHNGAI Yea it varies from place to place. Some are fairly strict while others call for street tire and headlights, that's it. The term daily driver is a pretty loose term as well. I think driven regularly is better. Daily driver to me implys it's your main mode of transportation. A 1200hp Skyline or anything of that level doesn't seem like a good one. But then again I could be mistaken.

It blew the head gasket because the Inline 6 crankshaft, even though power delivery is smooth and electric-like, it cannot handle the shear stresses for a long period while doing above 200mph.
