@iloveweedsomuchable mt bro did hit a sign tat put the big dent in the bumper and took off the driver side mirror, but that was really the only abuse it took, i do acknowledge that our roads do get salty, but that would leave to underbody rust, but this car doesn't have too much under rust. I think Nissan's paint doesn't hold up as well, that might be the problem for the rust on the body panels.
I live in canada and my parents had a 1998 altima up till last year and it was always parked outside and rarley waxed but whenever you washed it it looked like new
not a single spot of rust and was still very glossy
cool, so i do have a certain problem, my car has a steering problem, it sometimes works perfectly, but other times you need to drive over 20 mph before its easy to turn the wheel, and the power steering fliud was replaced over the summer. Its it the pump or the rack & pinion?
man that nissans worn out btw those scratches can be done easy with some 1000 grit wet sandpaper then a good buffing from the looks of it the bumper cover in front is beyond repair with it being warped but if you want the dent out get a heat gun and put behind it then it will pop out just dont burn through though
The problem is your to try so bad to that car I have an and it works of marvel

Not too bad, still a nice car. I've seen a lot of 2004 cars rust & doesn't take much. How hard is the steering to replace?
