One of my most treasured musical memories is seeing Rowland in action with The Birthday Party at Storey Hall RMIT (Melbourne) 1983. Ferocious, uncompromising & brilliant.

Rowland S. Howard R.I.P. One of the most influential guitarrist of the post punk era. Sadly he died at 50 years old. Important bands include Boys Next Door, The Birthday Party (with Nick Cave) These Immortal Souls, Crime and the City Solution, Lydia Lunch, Nikki Sudden, Epic Soundtracks, The Bad Seeds, two solo albums, and collaborated with many bands.
