  • hey man, nice playing, love the dokken rifffs. nice guitar too. musician's friend says neck radius is compund 12-16" . how does it feel to you, pretty flat or really thin? i prefer the flat like a jackson. i'm looking at this and a kramer striker with a 16" radius. big difference in price and unfortunately am unable to test either one before ordering. any feedback is appreciated. rock on!!

  • @bguy75 The neck is very comfy and isn't too flat (like an ibby) or too thick, It's similar to Jackson's Speed Neck, but the frets have an extreme roll to them. I can't recommend the Charvel Pro Mod series enough as they're great guitars (the USA and Jap versions)! I've had 7 pro mods and I love em'. As far as the Kramer's go, I've been eyeing the new bullseye 84' Baretta.

  • he's trying to get me subscribe with his sexy eddy van halen amp......i shall not cave in

  • Hi mate, I'm behind a Stratocaster model guitar, because I sell my fender telecaster low because it was not needed, this gives the size Charvel things to play van halen, ozzy, bon jovi. the darkness etc?, I talk about the Japanese Charvel San Dimas. a greeting and thank you very much. Greetings

  • Dude, I'm enjoying your videos!

Just a friendly advice though, try and take some lessons or practice a little more.

I promise you it'll pay off on the long run and you'll get so much more out of all that great gear of yours.

    Rock on brother!

  • i wish charvels were like 600 dollars, random but i was just thinking that

  • you suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey man, i just got me a new san dimas style 1. I want to upgrade the floyd block with a brass one from floyd upgrades. did you do this? did it effect the range of the trem?

  • @xtattybobx I have a 42mm block in mine and it does affect the trem range a little. It's still very usable, but I'd say the trem bar stops about a half an inch away from the body on dive bombs. Instead of upgrading the brass block, I've put Gotoh floyds on my other Charvel's and they are rock solid trems.

  • Dream warriors?

    Man, I miss the 80's.

  • Dude..learn to play guitar before amassing all this insane gear. Way ahead of yourself.

  • this almost makes me not want to buy this gear. learn to play.

  • Does it really matter what pickups you have when you can't even play simple chords!

You don't do this guitar any justice at all.

If you put as much effort into learning to play as you do making videos and buying stuff you would be amazing!

  • @BenJ2827 I have to agree... Seriously, he has some really good gear there. All the gear and no idea.

  • what is this for a shit

  • Just a little advice,

Pick a simple guitar out of your huge collection (one without a floyd).

    Select a small amp.

Put away all the other stuff

Go back and learn the basic chords and shapes and practice them over a drum or metronome track.

    Stop making videos

Stop trying to play fast shred stuff

Playing simple chords with feeling and tone is what you need and no amount of expensive gear will give you that.

    Good luck

  • @BenJ2827 Well said mate

  • @BenJ2827 I agree except on guitars, a decent/expensive guitar will improve your playing, right now i'm going back 25 years to remember the pieces of shit I had to play, and as soon as I got a quality instrument my playing improved and progressed out of sight, it's all in the hands, but a solid axe will help you play better with practice no doubt!

  • Whats with 4,000 dollars worth of killer gear but very little playing skill?

  • You need some lessons

  • pink nuncucks lol

  • they don't sound the same. The so cal has dimarzios and the san dimas has duncans so the san dimas sounds alot beefier

  • Comment removed

  • He's right in that it doesn't affect the sound as much as the bodywood, amp, fingerboar, bridg etc but if you had two guitars with the same specs and same amps but difference pickups you would hear a difference in sound

  • You shouldn't have to take off your pants for a guitar lesson. You know that right?

  • I agree, Big difference between the 2 Guitars. The So Cal has the Dimarzio pick ups mounted on a Pick Guard which are suspended over a route in the body. The SanDimas has more tone wood, and of course you have to factor in the JB, and 59 which are in a TONE world all on their own. I am biased towards Duncans &Fralins/Suhrs/WCR, With over 27 years of experimenting with pick ups DiMarzios are very Buzzy sounding to my ears The one I would want to have if my Life relied on it would be the X2N

  • shut up

  • Blow Me Jack, and swallow my Bitter /sweet seed.

  • I put some new PU's in. The Slimey (as I call it) is on its 4th set now. I put a DiMarzio Super 3 in the bridge and a PAF pro in the neck. I'll post some crappy vids of it one day.

  • @commercialking

Wow! 4 sets of pickups! I bet that will improve your playing!

  • Goods englishes.

  • dream warriors!!!

  • mate due to the fact that i live in GREECE there is no dealer here so can you please tell me which of the two models (san dimas, socal) sounds better at the same amp?

  • The San Dimas SD1 by a mile

  • @BOUZOUKISIGNIS SO CAL all the way

  • i like the pink nunchuks

  • of course you kept the charvel ;)

    its one badass guitar

  • isnt that a dokken song?

  • I played 2 dokken/ lynch riffs, Dream Warriors & Breaking the Chains in the beginning. The rest I improvised.

  • yep, I think it's "dream warriors"

  • its a shitty attempt @ a dokken song.

  • how do u afford all that

  • I buy and sell guitar equipment. The ones that I really like, I keep. :)
