  • Bell's problem is that he doesn't care what the word of God says. It's easy to see. Almost every verse he uses in his book is taken out of context and made to say something God never intended the verse to say. If you'd like to read a review that shows Bells errors and the deception behind his work, visit... Hells Bell Dot..... Net

  • Rob Bell has a powerful way with words to present his ideas, but all I can think of when I hear him speak, is when the serpent said to Eve, "Hath God said?" God's Word is clear about His love, mercy, and forgiveness, but also very clear about those who reject Christ as the only way He provided for our salvation. His Word says.." God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life." 1 John 5:11,12

  • I hope you people realize that God does also judge. The Bible talks more about judgement than love. If people do not accept Christ into their life they clearly do not go to heaven. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. NO MAN COMES TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME." John 14:6

  • Just finished reading the book. Rob Bell preaches the Good News in a way that lifts the Savior up, and guess what--people are coming to Jesus! If that isn't the Holy Spirit working through him, what is? All you modern day Pharacees out there need to chill.

  • I am just wondering why are "Christians" attacking Rob? -- What he says here is TRUE - LOVE DOES WIN because with GOD, LOVE ALWAYS WINS! that is the very POINT of Jesus!! who is the very LOVE of GOD poured on to us to RESCUE us ! -- Rob is a blessing because he tells about our awesome Saviour in a way which non-believers might understand ! -- he talks in a way which actually may be useful for millions of people who would really benefit if they only could come close to the healing love of God..

  • @steelview uh... bell contradicted Jesus. I showed it in the video. Why do you ignore this fact?

  • Hey Rob, John chapter 14 verse 7. I don't think you are a person who believes what Jesus said about himself through scripture. If that is so, then please stop calling yourself a Christian.

  • Listen, He has a different view Don't chastise him. You don't have to agree just accept he has a different view and love him for that. he might be wrong he might be right whichever it is , We Still Love.

  • My thoughts:

    actionofwaving.blogpost.com

  • Love without wrath leaves the cross without purpose. At the cross, wrath and love both satisfied under His holiness, for God is only love in so much that He is holy.

  • There is no other name (Jesus) given among men by which we are saved. Love them enough to tell them the truth.

  • Say you created a world, and a bunch of people turned their back on you and cursed your name. Don't you think you would be a bit mad. Compared to what we have done, I think God has been very generous to us by just letting us live and choose for ourselves what we can or can't do!

  • I feel like all these radical Calvinist hating on your book should just go read it instead of making empty accusations against it. You are spot on Rob. You don't need to take crap from a radical group of Christians who follow the beliefs of a man who burnt another man at the steak simply because they didn't agree with one another. Rob Bell > John Piper

  • @mattymfskmayhem Who burnt who at the steak? Have you ever read Foxe's Book Of Martyrs, where those "radical Calvinists" were killed for their faith? Denying essential doctrines of the Bible, where people died for such truths, is not spot on. To say that broad is the way that leads to life is heresy. And to deliver any other Gospel, Paul himself proclaimed such is anathema.

  • @thirdimpact You calvinist are always so concerned with what Paul said. Christianity is based upon the teachings of Jesus not Paul first of all. And John Calvin indirectly killed Michael Servetus. His last words were "oh Jesus, son of the Eternal God, have pity on me" as he was burnt at the steak simply because he didn't believe in John Calvins heresy. And yeah sure, Im sure plenty of calvinist were killed for their faith but they weren't killed by other Christians unlike Michael Servetus.

  • @mattymfskmayhem I have absolutely not idea how your response has anything to do with what I wrote. Again, back to what I was saying, if everyone goes to heaven in the end, than the cross of Christ was for nothing. Jesus died because man was so sinful that the only way we could be redeemed is for God to crush His only Son. How can someone who denies Christ, or who seeks to justify themself with being "good", ever be reconciled to God? Only through repentance and faith

  • @thirdimpact You asked who was burnt at the steak. I answered your question. And you should try reading the book...he does not say everyone goes to hell. He says that we don't know for certain who goes to hell and who goes to heaven. He poses the question how do we know for certain that ghandi went to hell? maybe on his death bed he accepted christ. READ the book. He acknowledges that there is a hell and that people go to it every day but we don't know for certain who does and doesn't.

  • @mattymfskmayhem Okay, I thought you were responding to a previous comment. I understand that Bell believes in a "hell", but his is not the eternal hell in the Bible. There is absolutely no scriptural basis for saying that hell is only this life, nor that people can choose Christ AFTER death. For it is appointed unto man ONCE to die and AFTER the JUDGMENT. Otherwise, God is unholy and a liar, and lets unrepentant sinners into paradise.

  • @thirdimpact well see that's what I thought too.Churches teach of an eternal hell but there was no such thing referenced in the bible. The only hell referenced in the bible was a dump in Jerusalem where bodies were thrown. The bible never actually indicates that there is an eternal hell or really clarifies anything about hell for that matter. it is a very vauge subject which is what Rob Bell points out.And all he does is pose questions about hells existance, he doesnt claim to have all the answers

  • @mattymfskmayhem How do you parse "eternal" to not mean eternal? Matthew 18:8; 25:46; II Thessalonians 1:9; Jude 7; 12,13. If you one is willing to say that these verse don't actually mean an eternal hell lasting forever, than they must also conclude that verses about heaven and God's glory are not actually forever, since the same exact wording is used. Hell lasts infinitely because all sin is against an infinitely Holy God. Or are you denying that God is infinitely Holy?

  • @thirdimpact the translations...Death is eternal,he suffering is eternal and yes hell is eternal as well. All im saying is we simply do not know all that much about hell or what decides if we go there or not. is it the actions we take as being Christians or is it simply the sinners prayer which saves us from hell? And like I said, we have no clear definition of where or what hell is. this has veered far off topic. We simply don't know enough because God doesn't give us all the answers.

  • @mattymfskmayhem That's simply not true. The Bible makes it clear that hell is a lake of fire (Revelation 20:14) of eternal torment (Revelation 14:11), that it was created for the Devil and his fallen angels (Matthew 25:41), and that God sends sinners to hell for rejecting Christ, the only One who bore our sins (John 3:36).

  • @thirdimpact I think you should just go read the book. Because until then your argument is pretty invalid.

  • @mattymfskmayhem I think you should read "Mein Kampf" by Adolph Hitler. You may have heard that it is written by an evil megalomaniac who was responsible for slaughtering the Jewish people in gas chambers, but until you've read the book your opinion is pretty invalid.

  • FYI - Love already won! What do you think was accomplished on the cross? There IS a hell and there IS a heaven and only those who accept the FREE gift of salvation through the Son of God and His work on the cross will be in Heaven. Both places will be filled with people who don't think they should be there. PERIOD!

  • @mommyoffour1 Can God not bend the rules in certain circumstances?

  • He is questioning the western christian notion of heaven and hell, not God--those are two very different notions. The religion was 'doctrined' within the influence of a Greco-Roman world of Hades and Paradise.

  • Thanks Rob for at least asking the question!

  • @doodly1316 are you saying you appreciate him questioning what God says, as Satan does in Genesis?

  • Whatever happened to John 3:16 ???

  • @blackboyz33 and john 3:18

  • Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

    What bible are u reading?

  • Good gravy Rob, are you serious? Do you realize how many people you are deceiving with this theology?

Love WINS because God made it possible for us to escape Hell! You're missing the boat buddy.

  • @MooseLodgeFilms Unfortunately he doesn't see it as deceiving. I'm sure it's quite the opposite - his enlightening us AND Jesus. We should be so glad God sent Bell to fix the Christian doctrine.

Sadly, Bell's book will sell quite well, generate much media interest, stir-up needless controversy, and do nothing but give those who are embarassed by a holy God with wrath against sin, a lame excuse to reject the biblical and orthodox Christian doctrine of eternal punishment.

  • @MooseLodgeFilms hmmm I like that one. Good Gravy, I shall have to use that sometime. :)

  • translation: "Did God really say?" Genesis 3:1, the first deception by Satan himself
