Well this is a crazy wacky happenstance! I think I made the vid that inspired you to create this way back in 2003. Mine only went so far as "Oh no the RCMP is not the life for me" and then stopped because there was a limited amount of Due South DVD footage at the time. And it does seem that someone has uploaded my vid to youtube without my knowledge. Very chuffed if my little vidlet was your inspiration! I always wanted to go back and do the full song but never got around to it. :)
@revolutionaryjo Hi, nice to meet you! After watching what was supposedly your video I was left wanting for more. I enjoyed it very much and I hope I did justice to what you started.
@chipmunks700 its from "Hunting Season" the last episode before Call of The Wild. I always get that episode and Bounty Hunter mixed so have just looked it up
I found this video on searching for "ride forever", and i love it. It's really funny :), even if you just know this show - and seriously nothing more about the RCMP (exept Wikipedia, and some children books). But I'm living very far away from Canada - unfortunately.
But because of this show, I want to travel to Canada. ;)
@SelinaCatwoman89 Hello from Canada i have been to germany and i loved it i wanna go back i live about 20 mins away from the rockies so would you liek to switch places??? LOL
... xD Okay. I wasn't planning on actually trying to watch Due South. I just wanted to watch one or two clips from it in order to get a vague idea what the characters were like. Now, however, I think I will.
@ijustpostcomments I don't know if it helps but he is a Mountie from the remote Yukon. He first travelled to Chicago on the trail of the killers of his father and for complicated reasons, such as an ecological conspiracy involving many high ranking Canadian officials and many caribou mysteriously drowned on dry land he remained; attached as liaison to the Canadian consulate. He has a deaf wolf for a companion and he likes to lick things that other people wouldn't touch.
ya got to love that they put people from buffalo. born and raised. lol and ya got admit that paul gross is hot. even today. it makes me want to visit my canadian family members. well i guess its time to go visit my family on the res. lol
oh oh I can answer this, I can answer this! I just did a Due South Marathon!!
it's from season 4, episode 11 if my memory serves my right ("hunting season" or something like this)
Meg suspends Fraser because he did not catch a murder suspect as she was passing right beside them and getting out of the consulate like, not even running away (Fraser was just watching the she-suspect leaving without doing anything, but he had reasons Meg did not know... watch it, you'll understand :P)
Hunting Season is One of my favourite episodes. =) Except how its nearing the end of the series.. Lol. (I bawl my eyes out on the last episode, everytime)
Anyway, love the video so much!.. And the song is great. Arrogant worms are amazing, lol.
But I must disagree with the part where its like "I really don't look good in red."
I think Benny looks damn good in red. Mind you, he would look good in ANYTHING! =)
FYI: I think you may be thinking about Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie. The Arrogant Worms are from Kinston, Ontario. They're awesome either way, though. :)
@leony331 are all mounties wearing a red suit durring there service ? i mean i know due south is a show but fraiser seem to have wear the red suit all the time :D BTW i think that red suit is mutch better
@egdqv13234 Hmm, I think not. The red uniform is probably only for formal occasions. But you'd have to ask an actual Canadian. I just enjoyed the show.
@egdqv13234 It's just for show, like during the musical rides, and special occasions, Fraiser was actually wearing the normal one when he arived in Chicago.
Source: I'm half-Canadian, I asked my mom (who's from Ontario)
@egdqv13234 The Red Serge (the proper name for the red uniform) is a dress uniform usually only worn for formal ceremony. The regular uniform is the brown one. Source: I am Canadian. The reason Constable Fraser mostly wears the Red Serge on the show is because it was designed for international broadcast and the uniform is more recognizable to non-Canadians.
GOD I LOVE THIS SONG!! MY FAVE WORMS SONG!!!! I think Due South sounds really funny! Who know it and watches it, or where Americans can watch it? (Online or off)
Here's a much-used quote from the show, "I first came to Chicago on the trail of the killers of my father and, for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture, I've remained, attached as liaison with the Canadian Consulate."
I was hoping someone else would do a vid to this song. And you used the live version of the song - which happens to contain my favourite line in an Arrogant worms song. ("where'd you get a tank?" " Walmart." "Oh.") Thank you kindly.
This video was inspired by another rendering of this song on YouTube. It was great. It was hilarious. It was also way-way-way-waywaywayway over too soon. What to do except to elaborate on it myself. I hope that any scenes that show up from the original version will be viewed kindly as an homage to this little gem of a Due South music video.

Fraser: Sir, I wonder if I might ask a question?
this is my fave version of that quote!
Fraser: My name is Constable Benton Fraser -
Welsh: He originally came to Chicago on the trail of his father's killer -
Ray: And for a whole bunch of reasons he decided to stick around -
Fraser: Attached as liaison to the Canadian Consulate.
