arguable most of its secrets can never be proven, either because we dont live long enough (for example you cant travel into deep space because it takes to long, and even if you were able to have multiple generations constantly going into deeper and deeper space firstly you couldnt send back what you find out and the inital data your infind on each generation would graduallly break down or simply be interpreted differently...
I think you would be able to tell because *EVERYTHING* is on the spec scale...
So colours (things) can actually be pin pointed to a specific point and an absolute colour.. so i would guess its just that sort of thing where you can tell the difference between two so that difference is used to narrow down a colour...

For the universe to end when you work out its secrets implys the universe itself has a conciousness to be able to identify when you know its secrets although
