  • Super!!! but I love S&S

  • japan makes the best quality pianos

  • is this cameraman a fucking retard?

  • DEAR SANTA....

  • @celebrityfan1990 umm no. you should put that comment on a steinway vid

  • do you guys have any steinways?

  • @Pilotsofer why would you want a steinway?

  • @mr69mustangman1 r u fucking retarded?? why wouldn't any pianist want a steinway. Steinway & Sons makes the best piano. that statement cannot be justified it's a fact not an opinion.

  • @Pilotsofer no, I am not fucking retarded. I didn't intend that comment in a hateful tone, I just wanted to know why? I have a Yamaha concert grand and I love it! I didn't want a Steinway because I like the brighter tone of a Yamaha. If you like the more mellow tone of a Steinway, go ahead. I don't care; I know they make probably the best, I just prefer Yamaha. Pardon me.

  • @Pilotsofer I agree 100% steinway out strips yamaha so much its actually pathetic. look steinway had been making pianos for like 150 plus years and yamaha hasn't, not only that steinway specializes in pianos were as yamaha doesn't, so I think thats gonna make a difference.

  • was the guy who filmed this drunk?

  • What does he play at 2:49 anyone? :)

  • @sibelius5user It's the "Apassionata" last movement, piano sonata by Beethoven. One of his three most popular. The others are the "Moonlight Sonata", the "Pathetique". A fourth is the lesser-known "Waldstein".

  • He plays Chopin's Heroic Polonaise at 7:07

  • please help me, what is the song at 7:07 ??

  • what is the song at 7:07 ???

  • Now why is it that piano sales people go on to talk about the "tone and range" of an instrument only to go on to mercilessly pound upon the piano especially in the bass. A truly responsive instrument should pur and sing at even the softest dynamics.

  • What are you DOING with this camera? hahaha

  • The piece at 3:10 is the middle section of Chopin's waltz in G flat (op 70 no1) for all who were asking :)

  • Oh watching this was painful! Couldn't he keep up with him?! I was extremely interested but I couldn't see what he was talking about most of the time =/

  • What does he play around 3:10?

  • if only i had enough money. honestly, im 16 and if i would have 30k i probably wouldn't even think of getting a car, or anything else for that matter, but sound equpiment.

a grand piano, a synth, a laptop, amazing speakers, amazing audio equipment (amps, receivers, EQ and filters etc.) a mixer, 2 turntables, 2 cdj's , headphones, maybe even a drum set. but i can only wish

  • Beautiful piano. I want one of this.

  • i wan't one, and i wan't place for it...

  • I must admit this concert grand Yamaha piano, is the greatest instrument; that I had ever played on. But this cameraman doing this interview sucks to say the least. That man starts playing the piano, but the guy is still shooting the other end of the piano?? Get with the parade cameraman, I think you better hire another one, to be truthful with you sir.

  • i prefer my petrof....... not only in craftmanship but sound quality and design..... sorry. :C

  • Whoever recorded this doesn't know shit on how to record. Seriously!!!

  • his rendition of the revolutionary is elementray at best x.x no dynamics, no nothing

  • wat the heck is wit dis camera man!!!!

  • Then you played the Fourth Variation of Mozart - Sonata # 11 In A Major - K 331. You played a lot of my favourites and nice Grand. I might be getting a Grand and it will be Yamaha C1 Grand Piano.

  • You randomly switched from Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 to Liebestraum? to a Valse by Chopin to another piece. XD

  • You know how to play Chopin's Étude Op. 10 No. 12 "Revolutionary Étude"????? I am so jealous, I want to learn that Étude.

  • Hungarian Rhapsody # 2 By Franz Liszt!!!!! I love that Rhapsody!

  • whats the name of the song on 6:15 ? i want to learn it PLEASE answer

  • @appleworld123

Chopin Waltz Opus 64 Number 1 in D Flat Major, "The Minute Waltz"

  • The only thing I am wondering about is this "one-piece ivory keytop". There is no such thing. REAL ivory keytops will always be in two pieces...the head and the tail (three if you count the front). You can tell by the dividing line between the head and tail. Is it possible you mean "synthetic" ivory, or Ivorine which is now used by Yamaha? I just didn't think that real ivory could be "molded" into the shape of an entire keytop...it's just too brittle.

  • @jjp009 There is a such thing...

  • What is the piece that he starts playing at @4:16?

  • @Minwingo

Chopin Revolutionary Etude op 10 no 12

  • @deeedeee Thanks a bunch!

  • May I buy this please? I have $3,600.00 built up in my piano savings account. Might be a little short of 65K.

    Thanks!

  • my god, im just starting, practice on about a 5'2 baby grand and all I can say is how in the world do people get this good, like seriously its like you tube is full of bethovens and oscar peterson's.

  • @texasboytwinturboz19 just godda believe that he's no better than you, but just has learned the right things :)

we're all built the same way after all

  • Oh no, please help me. i'm so confused. I have a standard keyboard now but I've hade it for a while and no I want a new better one. (A digital piano) So what piano is best for about 1000 $? Please reply

  • Filming with a tripod? Really?

  • how much does this piano go for?

  • WAKE UP CAMERAMAN!!!!!!!!

  • wish to got one of these at home...

  • Nice Piano, great player/salesman...he'd make me spend the extra 10 or 20K over by budget lol.....horrible camera man!!! unless you want to see zoomed in portions of the ebony case or the pins on the end of the sound board...I guess people that like pianos dont want to see the players fingers moving or seeing the action working lol

  • get rid of the videographer

  • whats the second piece? its sounds from rachmanioff

  • that thing is beautiful. if i was rich....

  • @ThePenhaligan .... then you would buy a Fazioli.

  • you remind me of steve jobs

  • I'm not the best pianist but i would like love to put my fingers on that lol...

  • He played so many of my favourite pieces... :D

  • Would be nice if he could play something soft/quiet to get the other half of 'piano-forte'....

  • Get a new cameraman, very distracting, nice piano nonetheless.

  • 2:03 camera man gets drunk for a while

  • Comment removed

  • I'm tired of my electronic S90es keyboard. I want one of these!!!! *drool*

  • Nice shoes! LOL Jk... Nike Shox.

  • The CFIIIS has about 8 inches that aren't used toward the back of piano case. So is the soundboard and action just lifted out of this one and stuck in the 9ft body?

  • @bencrom

No, the 9' concert grand makes full use of the extra soundboard area. Although both pianos share the same components the actions are not interchangeable. The soundboard also is not the same size.

    Russell

  • anyone know the song at 4:30+

  • @1337ASM Frederic Chopins Etude Op. 10 no. 12 "Revolutionary"

  • I want to know this song in 3:12 .

  • @123aleyt Chopin wlatz op 79 i believe

  • @homerboy488 hello, i bought a piano from him last year, and was extremely happy with it. I'm very familiar with pianos, as I buy many every year, and what he told me about this particular piano before I bought it, was exactly accurate when I got it. I'm sorry to hear you didn't have the same experience! ScottyJ

  • does anyone know the song name at 8:00

  • @ejbnol426 Chopin herioc polonaise op 57

  • Song at 4:30?

  • Chopin Revolutionary Etude - unfortunately don't know what the 2:50 one was though.

Love the glissando on the Polonaise Heroique... nicely done!

  • @R1skArb at 2:50 its Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 in C sharp Minor!

  • Song name at 2:50 please?

  • the piece at 2:50 is beethoven appassionota 3rd mvt.

  • That's a job :)

  • A local shop has a new 9 foot for $50,000 is it worth it?

  • @kirbyheritage2 You don't have $50,000 anyway - so it is a moot point.

  • wow, thats a seriously nice sounding piano.

  • i rate you five stars for your playing .. nice piano.. love it =)

  • nice piano , good presenter , bad camera operation.

  • @linespermillimeter yeah....

  • may i know the song title for 5:36 ?? I really love that piece

  • It's Liebestraum No 3 by Franz Liszt.

  • Thanks ^^

  • Beautiful piano, the bass register is nice and crisp! I don't really find there to be any dynamic character to the tone though, also it doesn't seem to handle large chords very well.

  • Surely you aren't going to judge the sound based on the compressed files on youtube? Sound quality from youtube is garbage at best and not much of anything to judge from :)

  • @Dougie085 You can still tell by the acoustics and lighting that the camera is really crappy, that is not from youtube. Youtube sounds quality options has gotten much better lately though.

  • wow what a great piano player you are. On such a fine instrument!

  • Yamaha Grand Pianos are SO COOL!! The Clarity sound, and tunability (tuning clarity) is better than Steinways.

  • then why isnt there one in the white house?

  • White House is not a Concert Hall.......

  • Well there IS a concert grand Steinway & Sons piano in the White House.. it doesn't have to be a concert hall..

  • I purchased a CS from Russell a couple years ago and have enjoyed endless hours of enjoyment from this magnificent instrument. Without question, the most enjoyable, rewarding purchase I have ever made and Russell was incredibly helpful in pulling it all together for me and getting the piano shipped from FL to Santa Monica, CA. Love this piano!!!

  • Thank you Russell! I can't wait to get this beautiful piano in my home and play it. Thanks for the wonder video and great photos of this amazing piano!

    B.J.

  • nice piano and the playing either! ^_^
