  • Thank you for your interest in PBird.... I was so lucky to find him returned from his third foster home since his surrender in early March. We just clicked or something. Stay positive with your new rescue BFA.... Slow, positive rewards will help build your bond. Amazons are very food motivated, so use that to your advantage! Well, thanks again for following... I will post another update this week :-)

  • Good eyes, yes.... This is an HQ flight cage. I am using it as PBirds quarantine cage. I have had him maybe 5 or 6 weeks now, and he is very happy with this cage. It is funny because I find it way too small and yes, cage bar width makes cleaning thrown food a bear. He hasn't bent any bars, but he is old and rather mellow. I will get him into a bigger pad (if he chooses) when he is out of quarantine. Amazons often get attached to their cages, so hopefully another change won't upset him..... :-)

  • @bekindplease I just "rescued" (opposite of rehomed?) a BFA recently too. Got him the first. He's the only bird here. About 18 and spent the last two years cage bound. He's kind of a grouchy boy. :P Your videos of PBird are of interest to me.

Also, I dig when the BFAs have an "eye ring" made of their colors. :D

  • Do you find the bar width of this (I'm assuming, HQ flight cage) adequate for a blue front?

From my reading it seems that they are not strong enough for anything larger than a conure or so; Timneh and larger being too large for it.

    Just curious.
