  • Brings back lots of memories. Fortunately, good music is still alive and well.

  • Watching this right now on a PBS fund raiser that Peter Yarrow is live in our town's PBS studio talking to people who call in to donate. He has donated a signed guitar for a raffle too!

In answer to Exc's comment about CEO's - get real man or get gone. The folk movement is still alive and well - we just mellowed out and don't listen to little whineys lol.

  • I'm excited to see this show! Thanks, PBS!

  • Yes - Dave Van Ronk - the "Mayor of Mcdougal Street" hope he shows up in the

actual movie - also glad to see Phil Ochs - too often forgotten.

  • Hopefully the filmmaker(s) will showcase musical artists of today that are carrying on the folk tradition of that era

  • these folks are now CEOs crushing american jobs

  • Going to my Favs. ! Yes a must see ! For me, I was 10, in 1960,starting to learn to play guitar....It was a magical time !!! They would run the music in the news paper magz.on Sundays paper!. Parade Mag. Started the harp as well, with the Lovin Spoon Full, then Paul Butter field,as the blues took hold in the early 60's as well. Than the English invasion...And it all slowly went any !

  • Real music, real musicians, it moved the soul, alas, never again...

  • This is an absolute must see! Too many memories!

  • This looks fantastic!

  • I hate to be that guy but I'm shocked that Dave Van Ronk wasn't mentioned!

  • @DonBrodka1

I'm sure he'll be. Even if it's just a slight reference during the Bob Dylan segment.
