Here's the deal. I am from Seattle and have lived here my whole life. I am in my early 30s so I am not young anymore and have seen what Seattle hip hop has gone through over the years. I am white, listened to KCMU (Now KEXP) Rap Attack when I was a kid and was well versed in what was down with the scene. I have a lot I could say about the state of Seattle hip hop today but one thing is for sure: DJ Sabzi has the most talent of anyone affiliated with the hip hop scene here, EVER. no doubt.

I DJ'd for a few years in The Burgh when this came out, and as a DJ you learn to appreciate different styles of music. People here just don't appreciate this style because it doesn't make it out here. I really miss this stuff, been a fan of Bay Area rap since I first heard it. Thank you West Coast for some great music
