I read it just before I heard about the movie to :P Strange coincidence! A friend of me recomended it to me on a comic festival... I'm glad I got to read it before I saw anything from the movie. Now I'm sertainly gonna read more Moore ;)
That's probably what some said about Lord Of The Rings when Peter jackson first got the job. It was just as big a cult fenomena before the movie as watchmen is now... so I really hope they get it right.
