Franck a écrit ce concerto 1835 (à 13 ans). Chopin qui a écrit son concerto n°1 en 1830 à Varsovie (à 20 ans), a donné 1 concert à Paris en 1832 et 2 en 1834. Rien ne dit que Franck à cet âge y ait assisté. Je préfère à "Poor shadow", œuvre de jeunesse !!

Had Franck wanted wider recognition and popularity during his lifetime, he should've stuck to writing music like this. Frankly, I don't care that much for his later work. I still don't really understand the Symphony in D Minor even after over 30 years and countless hearings of it. His "modernist" students had far too much creative influence over him at the end - as though they forgot who was the professor and who was the student - right D'Indy, DuParc, Bordes, Chausson, etc...?

@JJRaff18221882 I am no expert on hm i haven't heard much i love the chorale prelude and fugue but the first two movements of this one to me sound a bit like a poor shadow of a chopin concerto

too late? The score of this concerto is published by only "ediziun trais giats", maybe a swiss publisher.

I bought it from a japanese music sheets shop "Academia music". but sorry, this shop only for japanese.
