Theytake a relatively complex good innovative song, [i]STRIP[/i] it down, [i]REMOVE[/i] the complex parts (solos etc) and add somebacking vocals or something in order to make the voice softer and add some "ahh" and "yeaah.." so that 14yearoldgirls can COME while listening to it. Sure, like it if you want, but then you're a fag. But for the love of god, DO NOT DENY IT BEING MAINSTREAM CRAP, for it is. Oh how it is.

Metallica did a cover of Thin Lizzy's verson, correct. Thin Lizzy however DID NOT cover the Dubliners. Whiskey in the jar is a traditional Irish tune, and Thin Lizzy decided to make a version out of it as much as the Dubliners did. Their both versions are good, but Thin Lizzy did not cover The Dubliners version, it sounds really different. idk really what you meant, not trying to be rude or so just clearing things up...

interesting rendition but it is so 'hiphop/rap style.' sounds like any other boy band out there. it makes the orginial sound so much. the dubliners and metallica rule. Thin Lizzy is the best.
