My brother is an Army Ranger Sniper and he went through some tough stuff but nothing like Marcus went through. I read "Lone Survivor". It's the best book I've ever read. This 22 minute video only covers a small fraction of the book. I served in the Navy from 89-93, and the SEALS are the real deal. I am a professional firefighter/paramedic and serve as a medic for our SWAT Team. I did not have the opportunity to fight as a patriotic soldier for this great nation. Check out Sniper One to see what our brothers in arms from the UK did on the fateful day that the Madhi Army tried to take back key cities in 2004 (footage of Blackwater Sniper Travis Haley once of Magpul now owner of Haley Stratgegic Partners... blasting Madhi's is on youtube). Many great books out there about the men in SF from the allied countries.

@Future0311 and all the others : The main site of combat was at 35°9'19"N 70°35'27"E (for the guys using google earth). What you can definitely see there is that Marcus Luttrell couldn't have been falling straight down at all because there is no wall falling that straight!!

I loved this guy till he said he fell 1500 feet already seriously injured and survived. thats impossible, maybe he mispoke? idk but most vets dont like to speak out too much, and ik hes doing it for his buddies but alot of this seemed like he was making shit up. and 1500 feet fall is impossible to survive. if im wrong please explain to me some1. @CASurfer87 Yea, you're right on that point. Alot of people I've talked to say the book was written 100% by the second guy listed on the cover, and alot of the book is untrue. For example, the glorious deaths of some of the men were exagerated, not the MOH winner. But like the guy who got shot in the head, just walked a little bit and died, he didn't accually kill a whole bunch of taliban before dying. and there's no way Marcus killed 6 more taliban while injured and crawling the 7 miles. I am a professional firefighter/paramedic and serve as a medic for our SWAT Team. I did not have the opportunity to fight as a patriotic soldier for this great nation. However, as a professional I try my best to do everything I can in my profession to be patriotic.
