I had the pleasure and the luck to grew up in the 80's , an amazing decade full of cultural changes and inspiration especially in the music who can forget of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, Toto, Hearts, U2, etc etc etc etc, Oh my god that time wont never come back and life now its not the same :(
Good grief - where did you find this. I too have it on a Betamax tape in a box somewhere never to be viewed again. This is one of, if not THE, definitive SM live performances. Many, many thanks for taking the trouble to upload and share. Absolutely brilliant.
Nope....Live in the City of Light is from a different concert in Paris. It was the next album after Once Upon a Time. This clip is from the Rotterdam gig that the Tube showed.
@davestaxi you're right i just dug out the cd from 87 that one was from le zenith, paris, france . this is the as you say rotterdam gig . you can see the "advert break" sign in the top corner @ the end ;)
Happy 30th, welcome back home! Great to see you back in business with postings of the greatest vidoes! Last year referred Mick to one of your clips from this concert and these are his exact words: "That clip takes me back in time, to pleasant memories. Thank you. Mick.."
Pleasant memories!?! My, what exciting times those must have been for these cats! All the best to Simple Minds fans around the globe!!!
I proposed to my wife at this concert in this song at the end :')
