  • 5:16 look at the rancher, on the road, its chuck norris.

  • 4:38 What is the rising tone or beep?

  • @jayflies737 It helps the pilot gauge when to start and end the flare for landing. It kind of takes place of the 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 read outs that they usually get.

  • Miserable camera shots, ffs stop all the fancy bs and just show one camera angle.

  • @naval8viator ok homo

  • @haitiano1982 Simple is better. Two opposing views, one which obstructs the main view, is awkward and detracts from the video. Its about as bad as zoom-happy camera men.

  • As an FS pilot, two things I'll note:

    (1) The only thing I don't like about the DC-9/MD80 class of aircraft is how there's two windshield bridges, which tend to interfere with vision;

    (2) Love the aggressive control inputs at low speed, I have to get over myself and do more of that when I'm landing.

  • Landing the plane with one hand, like a BOSS!

  • In addition - just love those "Steam Gauges; you can have ALL of the Glass Panels. I know, I know: Inovation and less workload for the "Drivers" - that's true for sure. But, still love those little round gauges (was an "old school" Avionics Maintenance type, then. Thanks for a great video. N-6395T

  • @mmichaeldonavon i agree wholeheartedly, the more i see of "glass" cockpits and computer gamer jockeys, the less i want to fly.....gotta ck out insel air, hope they still have analog cockpit.

  • Great video! Those control inputs were really amazing! Great control of the aircraft; talk about skill and confidence. Wow!

  • Great post and, yes, you really have to play with the controls in gusty conditions. Well shown.

Quick question though. When you started the backtrack, was that a takeoff configuration warning from the "Bitching Betty" due to a higher power setting being used to expedite the backtrack for the next aircraft who was on final by that time?

  • Awesome! One of my favorite places to land.

  • Did you have multiple or single its in the cockpit at which you positioned the camera for steady shots? If not, you did one helluva job keeping the camera steady! BTW, I know it's difficult at the time to switch once it's done, but I think it would have been cooler to see the picture in picture reversed.

  • @TheTopBloke the camera is mounted on the aircraft, noone is holding the cam. and its a pic in pic of 2 different flights. same crew same plane.

  • @DaZINGERMAN1 didn't read the blog, sorry

  • @DaZINGERMAN1 while typing this comment, didn't you notice that your capslock was on?

  • Two people are the trade winds.

  • That was aweome! And also what a beautifull plane! Chekt ou mine vids too ;)

  • was this insel air?

  • Awesome!

  • Cool videos

  • good landing..;-)

  • nice but it would be cool if u could see outside better

  • i don't want to see a fagot dislike this video

  • Amazing, hope to see more St.maarten videos :) sound at 04:37 comes from radio altimeter. right ?? I know like that...

  • Very good video ! Like every enthusiast I love St. Maarten airport and the special cockpitsounds of the MD-80 series !! :-)

  • The sound at 4:37 that you are hearing is the minimums buzzer. In this plane it was set to 0. That's why you are hearing it just before touchdown.

  • hey awesome vid, whats the sound at 4:37 ? is it the stall speed or minimum speed?

    thanks

  • Great stuff!!

    Nice and windy

  • increible...loved from 4:21-4:32 when the speed goes up and down very fast ...i would have stalled it from my nerves getting it to land right...^_^ thats why I love my fs2004 . great video

  • Awesome filming !!!
