  • its more a car!!! hahaha

  • As if Wings weren't ridiculous enough!

  • arabaya özeneceksen niye motora biniyorsun

  • Incredible machine.

  • Thanks for this video. I've had rheumatoid arthritis since age 5 and though I got my M on a little 150 2 wheeler, I know I will need a trike when I move up to a bigger bike. Someone told me trikes are actually harder to ride because you have to steer them rather than lean. What are your thoughts on this? Thanks!

  • Ill never understand bikers who buy a fucking goldwing, if you want comfort then buy a damn car.

  • NightFlyyer... I forgot to ask... if the side wheels have torsion linkage do you steer the bike as a trike... or can you lean the bike like a 2-wheeler? If it steers as a trike... even though now you keep the side wheels on... is it hard to transition your instincts to steer between the 2 and 4 (trike) set up?

  • NightFlyyer... I've been a street rider for almost 25 years and that could be a great idea for my wife if we get her a Bike... her knees aren't the best in the world for holding up a bunch of weight! I served in the Marines for 8 years, and am a Disabled Vet. I just wanted to say "Thank You for Your Service to Our Country"... I salute you for your service!! Semper Fi!!!

  • RIDE ON RIDE ON

  • Keep on with the biker spirit ,do what you enjoy, keep on ridin.

  • hi nice bike thats why i like trikes they are easier to ride then trying to balance the bike like the set up

  • I am a Nam vet. Wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have my motorcycle. Hope your doing well and still riding. God Bless the American Veteran.

  • Awesome bike dude!!! Nice job!

  • I just don't think that music is Steely Dan singing "Hey Nineteen". Somehow, just don't think so. OOps! my bad. Didn't listen long enough.

  • May I ask if a sidecar would have been just as effective in balancing the bike as the 2 back wheels? Would hair-pin turns and riding on slick surfaces or gravel be the same? Just wondering, because a side car would be more fitting if my pet traveled with me.

  • I would jump in front of a train if i had that bike :(

  • I understand.I lost my leg due to a work accident a year after buying my 1800 GW.It took 3 yrs ,a voyager kit and and electic shifter ,but I'm rolling again.Soon to hit the hyways.

  • Americans ruined the bike.

  • like a solid axle conversion that doesn't lean into a corner does that conversion able you to lean in a corner or is it ridged?

  • This is a brilliant vid, I admire your will to ride bro, ride safe !

  • where's the 4th wheel?

  • @IntenseSoldier one in the front, the back wheel that drives, and 2 stabilizing wheels, do the math.

  • @glady91 oh I didn't notice it in the video until you told me, thanks

  • @IntenseSoldier It's still there. The kit bolts onto the frame so you don't remove the original rear wheel.

  • Looks kinda goofy to me but who gives a fuck, as long as you get to keep riding.

  • good idea , nice job , keep riding brother .

  • GREAT IDEA...SEMPER-FI

  • why not get a atv?

  • @bringslid would you really want to tour the country on an atv? .... thats what these bikes are meant for.

  • Nice job !!, How many miles do you get on the 2 small tires, compared to the 2 regular tires?.

  • Hello -- use a cramp attachment as well as turning into a trike. Enjoy.

  • Love the supportive comments about this, and then I read the comments left by the morons telling you to get a car if you wanted 4 wheels and stuff like that. You cannot compare riding a bike to driving a car. They fail to understand what is being done here. Sad. Nice Job.

  • Hey brother as long as your still puttin your nose in the wind thats all that matters.......

  • YES!!!!! You gave me a good idea ^^, I have a screwed up wrist (was fused) now maybe my wife will feel better after seeing this. Was told i would never be able to ride cause of my wrist, (Thaught to myself great my dream shattered!) maybe this is a good solution that will help me get out and my mind free and just ride(get rid of that dropping the bike thaught)!

Don't look at me like something wrong with me, you all have a bike and understand what its like to be free!

  • that kinda defeats the purpose of a bike...it's more like a convertible car now. and for the love of god, get rid of that awful song!

  • so this bike has training wheels?thats good if you don't know how to ride a bike.

  • ale wiocha ja pierdole......

  • Why just not buy a car?

  • great job bro be safe and ride free

  • これはもうアメコミの領域でしょ(笑)

  • great bike brother, I'd do the same as you if necessary, just today I was thinking it would never stop stem if necessary, find a way to keep doing it forever. Great Bike pay my respects, and to keep riding!!! Also Five Stars.

  • Hope that thing has reverse ?

  • i have the same bike as you same color to i just dont have 4 wheels i do have the matching trailer love the bike i got it from my dad when he passed on can not wait for the snow to be gone so i can get it out of the shop

  • Very pretty bike and nice price on the conversion. Nice music too.

  • Yo go get a car if you wanted 4 wheel

  • It's a good idea as it does not involve any actual physical changes to th bike like a full trike kit but check your local laws before you lay out cash for one! Here in Alberta Canada and in many other places they are illegal and will net you a really nice ticket if he knows the law. The law here states categorically that "all wheels on a motorcycle must have brakes". This includes the wheels on sidecars. Several people I know found this out the hard way.

  • Good for you! Gotta do what ya gotta do to keep on keepin on. My brother lost a lot of use of his left leg after a surgery. The surgery saved his life, but selling his bike almost killed him.

  • im sorry but it looks like training wheels..it does..other then that its loadedaaaaaaaa...lol..all that cash into that could of gotten you a sweet ass trike strait from Harley factory..my dad got one when we figured out converting was just to much..need larger clutches bigger motor all that to convert a 06' ultra glide..so guess what he got the trike, i got the bike..lol...weeeeeeee..

  • im a biker out of chicago ive been really looked over by god ive had about five life ending issues with these people here think its cute to drive up real close to your rear wheel to scare you i say as a biker we should ride in groups of five an beat the shit out of people who play with our lives.

  • Надо ж так изуродовать Goldwing... Инвалидная коляска :(

  • nice stabilizers

  • wonderful

  • i love it, and can see the benifts for not only injured bikers, but for those who find big bikes difficult. i wont say disabled or women, cos i met some disabled people with more go than me, and some women who..... well, i cant finish cos id get beaten up :)

anyway, great things, and ride safe

  • phew...i really like ur bike man...great job u did. Keep riding!

  • love the dedication brother, ride safe.

  • '

honda is a full japanese made it,,,

    not america

  • @bestamerica: Actually, all Goldwings are made in the USA! Kind of like Harley-Davidson, they BOTH use a combination of domestic and foreign parts and assemble them in the USA. Rational thought bless the USA!

  • RepublicanDumbAss,

    '

    okay thank explain

  • @RepublicanDumbAss But Harley's are unreliable compared to Goldwings. Goldwings for 2012 and beyond will be made in Japan.

  • @20031200 ahh you dont know your ear hole from your well you know..lol..my 06' ultra glide is fuel injected been to struges, daytona, all that, not one problem with it...none..i now have 52k miles on it and done nothing but oil change..lol...i just love the sound of a Harley man..owned um all my life, the shovels were junk...ill say that..but it dont matter as long as your riding

  • This looks great! Great job!

  • Nice Miata

  • thankyou for your service and sacrafice. i noticed the U.S.M.C sticker on the windshiled Semper FI Marine

  • nice bike. i think id feel safer with 2 wheels in front and one in back tho :) like the can-am

  • No, no and no. When will trike builders realise you should have two wheels at the front and one at the back? That is a VERY stable handling configuration.

  • beautiful bike and your dedication to ride. I ride also and can't imagine a day go by without riding, ride safe my friend

  • Bike or UFO ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

  • !993 I T-boned an idiot backing out of his driveway - my Suzuki GSX1100EFE was a write-off and I cartwheeled over the vehicle 8 times (don't remember it at all).

Took me 17 years to get back on a bike, 13 of those convincing the (new) Mrs that bikes were safe. Bought myself a GL1500 1995 model and rode it from Canberra to Sydney (500+klm).. Feels like I'd never been off.

Wasted 17 years in tin cans... AAARRRGGGHHH !!!

The lower lights on your 'wing - are they LED ?

  • Man that set up is bad ass. keep movin and let it bang.

  • Glad to see you are still out riding! A lot of dudes would tuck their tail and stay home. Great looking rig.

  • YOU ARE THE BEST....MAN..!!!!!!!

  • very cool your video eeee jajajaaaaa the bike is super ba father my dad to buy one like that but I'll give the idea of putting the trailer like I'm from mexico IRAPUATO GUANAJUATO STATE

  • ma cos'è!!!! una goldwing con le rotelline.......

    ma sparati su un marone!

  • Hate the music, love the bike :P

  • I got a bad hip so my trike will be coming soon, for now i suck it up and ride !!!

  • awhhh..it's got training wheels!! just kidding around...sorry about your leg bro!

  • Clean bike

  • Very nice video...thanks for posting...helped me decide to get one.

  • Lovely machine :3 I'm curious as to how she handles in the corners; I'd imagine conventional steering throughout but wonder what's the maximum speed before one (or two!) of the wheels lift.

  • Thats badass. Nice bike or car or machine or wtv.

  • estan hermosas esas motos cuanto cuestan unamoto goldwing americana en la frontera con mexico saludos a todos

    gracias-----

  • very nice! take a look "goldwing gl 1800 alpine"

  • is that a honda civic ?

  • What about.... A car ?

  • Beautiful big motorcycle amigo

  • when are you going to be ready to take off the stabalisers?

  • As always a great video.. Are those the 12 inch wheels??

  • Whoever has this bike is UUULTRA Happy !

  • You know Dave, I would have expected a man of your talent to have been able to construct some sort of fast deploying outriggers ala the Ecomobile and a few others. Then you could still ride a motorbike properly.

  • I think your bike looks cool with the little wheels on it. Kinda like training wheels. Just kidding. I like them.

  • love Goldwings but i think the rear wheels could be slightly bigger looks nice though

  • Semper Fi !!!

Me and the wife pick up our Goldwing/Insta trike next week!!

Thanks for the video !!,,Devil Dog!

    3/3 Marines

  • Hi Dave I know where u r coming from I myself was t-boned 3 yrs ago and lost my left leg above the knee. At the scene it was below after being air lifted to ORMC. When I woke up it was above the knee.I never lost consciousness the hole time. But from the time I woke up I knew I would be riding again. It was 13 months till I was riding again. I now have a 1993 1500 with a tow-pac and a 2005 1700 yamaha road star silverado two wheeler. I have an electric shift on both. But still all the time. GL

  • Wow Awesome

  • 5 Years ago, I got T-bone by a moron in a 4 wheels cage And all he said was "I'm sorry I didn't see you" So I and ended up with a kind of fuck up leg. I know how you feel Dave. A real biker will always want to ride and will always find a way to ride. Great job, Ride free and stay safe.

  • Bummer about your leg. I appreciate your comments and stamina too. Ride easy.

  • @HarleyTrikes I know how you feel there I got hit about two months ago by a DUI driver. She even left the scene and left me laying on the pavement. My poor ninja was totaled and my leg will never be the same about 90% though but I still love riding.

  • lol it looks like a civic jk

    nice job

  • Awesomeness on wheels bro! good for you.

  • Thanks kindly. I appreciate that.

  • that things a beast

  • nice!i like your bike...i'll give it 5-stars

  • Thanks very much. I appreciate that.

  • If you have a bike like that is cause you deservee it! What a nice unit. Im glad for you. Keep riding brother. By the way, nice song, name please and band?

  • You are very kind, and I appreciate your comments. The last song was "We cant dance"- Genesis, and the first song was by Collin Raye, "Any old stretch of Blacktop".

  • woooow i'm sooooo amazed by this bike. i've never actually see it in real life, but i've researcehed the internet a bit for it. it is so beautiful!!!! How much did it cost

    ?

  • Well it is a 1995, and back then, it cost $17,000, and the Trike Kit was $3,500. Thanks kindly.

  • like the purple lol

  • Thanks.

  • thats a gorgeous bike!, it must be a relief to have a trike kit like that available so you can still enjoy riding rather than having to go for a ligter machine, it looks even more badass with the trike kit i think, trying to pursuade my dad to buy a goldwing! but i think it would take up most of our parking lot! i like the lights on the front wheel and forks aswell, but wouldnt having "four" wheels class it as more of a quad than a bike? all the best and ride easy!

  • Thanks very kindly for your comments. Yep, it takes up some serious room too. LOL Your right about the name, but the Mfg, calls it an insta trike, so me too. Thanks again.

  • this is fantastic wa sit a expensive up grade ive just had my leg damaged army service etc im in australia so not sure if theres a dealer here

  • Bummer about your leg. I can relate, for sure. Check the link in the description box and see if they can ship.

  • so.... its a fake trike?

  • It is a stabilizer and it works for me with one leg, no matter what you sarcastically call it.

  • First and foremost thank you for your service to our country.

Do you still countersteer the bike at speed?? never riden a rike before... or does the steering become more car like.

    Thanks..

  • Thanks very kindly for your comments. It is a bit harder to steer because there is no leaning, but it steers like a car so just turn the wheel in the direction you want t go, and that is where it goes. Thanks again.

  • Smile in the wind, and Stay safe Dave

  • Thanks very kindly, and you too.

  • Sir your bike looks amazing!!!

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • I msis my 1500 :(

  • bloody hell I cant spell today. It was meant to say "I miss my 1500" lol x

  • No problem. They are great bikes for sure.

  • Ride on brother !

    And God Bless

    POWMIA NEVER FORGOTTEN!

  • Thanks very kindly. Ooorah!

  • if you hit a bump real hard will the wheel well rub on the saddle box?

  • I met one of these running down the interstate the other day and couldn't figure out why it didn't look like any other trike...until now :) Need to show this to my dad. Safe riding man, and appreciate all the great vids!

  • Thanks very kindly. Yep, if you love to ride but arent as physical as you used to be, this sure worked for me.

    Thanks again, and ride easy.

    Dave

  • It looks awfull

  • Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Just being able to ride with one leg allows me to see the beauty in it. Sorry you cant see that. Good luck.

  • Great fishing rig especially if you're going fishing on the other side of the country! Only one problem, "Should I go fishing or should I keep riding?".

    Thanks for your service.

  • Thank very kindly for your comments. Yep, sometimes "just keep on riding" sounds good too.

  • Nice bike I dream of goldwing or yamaha ventere

I have question. What is weight of this goldwing? and cargo capacity?

  • Thanks. My wing weights 780 lbs, and can carry 2 passengers avg 200 lbs, plus 50 lbs of cargo in the bags. But with the Insta trike kit on the amount of weight I can load is really increased. I even pull my fishing boat with it to the dock and am probably the only guy in the world that can back down the ramp with a boat and motorcycle and not slip and fall in the process. LOL

  • Thx for the answer.

  • Gorgeous bike. Hope you ride safe, and still enjoy riding. Sorry to hear about having a bumleg. Ruins riding eh?

Nice to see some modifications like this. Pretty amazing.

    Keep safe,

    Nayth

  • Thanks very kindly for your comments.. It is snowing right now, and believe it or not, I can get around pretty good with it on...but dirty, it gets dirty.....and cold too. LOL. Take care.

  • my grandfather has a similar layout and it brought back his love for riding

  • Good for him. Yeah! Happy riding.

  • Buy a car you idiot...

  • I've got a bum leg from VietNam, supporting our country. I love to ride, and you make a comment like this? Shame on you!

  • Sorry man i didnt read the description of the vid!

  • At first I thought it looked pretty ugly, and intended to write something about destroying a good bikes look. But then I read your info, and realized that these wheels gives you excactly what's most important to all bikers - enjoyable riding and freedom. And despite everything, the wheels protect your baby from getting scratched and dented... I've seen big men cry having to sell their pride and joy due to disablement. These wheels could safe their day. Great vid! Jesper, Denmark

  • Thanks kindly. Your right, when you love to ride like I do, then anything goes. And at my age, I don't care if people make fun, because they just don't know the whole story. Besides you know, it is more fun than I ever thought it would be too. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Happy riding. Dave

  • It's all good, Thank GOD for our freedom here in our Great country,(USA) just ride safe and have a good time.

  • Thanks very kindly. I could not agree more.

  • you clearly love your baby,, good for you & many many happy & safe miles buddy.

    Nice :-)

    a fellow rider

  • Thanks very kindly. I appreciate that. Ride easy to you too.

  • Yes shame on me. I didnt get to ad the exception list. I have a 2003 kawasaki that I bought off of a retired police officer who has MS. And I am very thankfull for both of my legs. I did not mean anything by it.

  • Training wheels on a big bike is gay. How are you truly going to enjoy the ride when you have training wheels. If I wanted to not hold the bike up myself then I just drive my sports car.

  • Shame on you. I enjoy the ride just fine as on any Goldwing...especially with a leg that doesnt work anymore. Wait and see if you can ride with one leg.

  • HAHAHA! If this gives disabled riders a way to ride then this is awesome.

Is the lean angle fixed or does it use a torsion bar/damping shock setup to allow vertical movement? How does it keep the bike upright, pneumatic lock when the wheelspeed falls below 4mph or something? If it leans then how does the axle maintain correct toe and castor, (bikes steer on their rear wheel, the front only sets the lean angle and bears the weight of the front of the bike when cornering), angled pivot point?

  • Thanks. Lean angle is fixed just like a trike. It has torsion bars for minor bumps and makes for a smooth ride. I have proven it to myself for several years now and all is well.

Best to visit Tow-PacInc(.)com for the specs. They make them for all bikes.

  • I'm 38 and my husband is 45 yrs of age and we have both been riding motorcycles since we were kids.We just purchased a 2001 Suzuki Inruder 1500LC with the Voyager Kit.I like it off in 5 Mins.We ride with ALOT of folks and they don't give us any bull for having it.We love to ride and that is all that counts.TheRide to have fun,& be safe.Think safety first when you get on a bike.Glad your riding and having fun.Thank-You so much for our freedom !!To the younger kids have some RESPEC!!

  • *RESPECT

  • thats stupid. its a bike if you cant ride it as it is get a car

  • its stupid to think that all people are as perfect like you....pray you never get diabled and unable to enjoy someting in life just because others think it's stupid!

    ROCK ON nightflyer

  • Thanks kindly. I appreciate that. There are so many opinionated people who dont appreciate what it takes to do simple things after getting hurt, like riding a bike, even if I need a little help.

  • I'm in a similar boat nightflyyer....although mine wasn't a result of combat, but rather a drunk driver. both my legs were crushed when I got between 2 cars at collision. God allowed me to keep my legs and my life but I need a little help too sometimes and sometimes just don't wanna worry about the road conditions and just ride with no worries of bad road or other hazards.

LIVE TO RIDE...RIDE TO LIVE BRO!!!

  • Thanks kindly. Your a good man.

  • I am disabled and I still manage. I didnt mean the message above in a nasty way but if I had a disability that affects my riding I would simply get a trike. What happens if they dont come down one day? A fuse goes? Motor stops working? Then what? Its a bad idea.

  • are you talking about the "landing gear" from new orleans manufacturer?? This trike kit has no moter or fuse to stop working. ps Have ya seen the price of a new trike today?? holy cow! lol.

  • Sorry mate I think I am confused about the landing gear thingy, If this is solid then I guess its not so bad *winks*

  • Wow. That is a very unkind statement. I love to ride and evem with a leg I messed up in Viet Nam, trying to keep our country free. SO I love to ride and am lucky I still can because of this. Shame on you.

  • Hey man, good on ya for your set up...Question is how does a set-up like that work on the twisties. I understand it would be ideal for your straight roads, but in a country like mine the straights are few and far between....And dont worry bout them no-sayers, cos obviously they just want to moan, maybe its jealousy...good on ya mate...

    ...Bren from New Zealand

  • Thanks. When I lived in California, I lived in San Juan Capistrano. I was very close to the Ortega Highway, which is known twisty road. It is a favorite of the bikers. My last So. Cal ride was over the Ortega with some other seasoned wingriders and I had no trouble keeping up. It feels like it will tip over, but you always have 3 wheels on the ground! Trikes tip over easy. I cant tip this. Its harder on front tires and your arms however, but if you have a bum leg like me, it is great.

  • I WANT ONE!

  • My uncle has a 89, or 90 goldwing its pretty cool

  • Thanks. All GW's are nice and smooth. Mine is an 95.

  • beautiful scoot!! how are the smaller wheels on the bike? have you had any problems with it other than people gettin jealous? will be getting a 1800 "08" goldwing soon and would like to know if you feel the 12 in wheels would be better?

  • Thanks kindly. Well I don't know about jealous, but they certainly appreciate the fact that I can drive REAL slow and make u-turns on a dime without dropping it. I like the looks of the 12 wheels and wish they had been available when I purchased mine in the first place.

  • i love it...and not be a harley even better

less noise, better engine, better ride and is full of gadgets :)

    i love the lights too

    well done

  • Thanks very kindly.

  • I think if you need training wheels on your bike because of your legs it might be time to invest in something smaller/lighter?

  • Be serious! I could never go backwards. With one bad leg, this is still my ride.

I actually have it off now and am living dangerously at 60 yrs old.

  • though it's not a Harley, but it's a SWEET RIDE, enjoy it and have a safe riding.

  • i saw that cheesie grin you flashed while giving the "peace" sign reflected in you faring, ya crack me up dave......."live long and prosper".

  • Ha ha ha. Thanks buddy... You too!

  • same

  • Dont know much about bikes. but you got a sweet ride there.
