  • You'd need at least a top 50 to have every game on the list.

  • Mega Man X and Killer Instinct on the list. I loved it.

  • I was also happy to see mario paint in there :P

  • Super Metroid BETTER be in there.... it not only defined the SNES, but was the best video game of all time

  • good list one my personal favorits where breath of fire 2 and illusion of time/gaia the rest of your list is the thruth

  • His list was good there was games I was thinking of too that he didnt post but I understand why he didn't He seriously for the most part coverd all the games that needed to be mentioned I think he could have left All stars out sense those are Nintendo games. That would have opend up one more slot yoshis island too would have opened up a slot. Also all the mortal kombats were better on super the sega controler sucked whoever says otherwise got used to it but no L and R only 3 buttons fuk that.

  • Pretty good games, but IMO FF2 Blows 3 out of the water and was way more defining!

  • Missing SF2, Gradius 3 (or Axelay) and Earthbound. Otherwise, great list.

  • whatever happen to BATMAN RETURNS?

  • terranigma,secret of mana,iss deluxe,sf2,doom,demons crest are missing

  • Also NBA Jam!

  • Nice list Sir, but IMO you forgot International Super Star Soccer Deluxe!

That was a great soccer game.

i remember to play hours SMW and DKC

But the game that most time i played is TMNT 4: Turtles in time

Is one of the best Beat em' up games in history

  • Secret of Mana???

    Secret of Evermore???

  • Where is Earthbound??? >:(

  • I don't care what ppl says. Chrono Trigger is the best games of all times

    period

  • Too much mario, and not enough earthbound

  • 1:09 hehehe.. DO A BARREL ROLL! WOOOW, back when Square didn't have Enix! O:

  • 1:09 hehehe.. DO A BARREL ROLL!

  • Kirby super star earthbound kirby's dreamland 3 street fighter and more where are they?

  • snes -> best console ever!

  • I, too, believe that Street Fighter II definitely belongs to the list.

It's been such a hit at the time (i remember buying the console for that very game).

If anything, it has defined the SNes a lot more than Mario Paint did...

  • @Bangoo2: yes, Street Fighter II is one the best SNES-games, but it didn't "define" the platform as the other games in the video - since it's available on every other platform around.

  • @applemctom Disagreed. I think of SNES, I think Street Fighter II. That console package is what I think of when I think SNES.

  • @applemctom I completely disagree, i think that that Street fighter 2 gave the SNES the 'cool' edge and was the only home version around of the game for a good year, meaning just as many bought the system for that as much as they did for say super mario world.

  • @madcapoperator I agree with you madcapoperator. Street Fighter 2, the first version, is a milestone. Everybody was crazy about it when it was released.

  • @applemctom yeah, i think the game i played the most other than ff3 was sf2 on my snes. super metroid got boring after the second playthrough.

  • I'm missing Street Fighter II in this list. That game was huge when it came out exclusively on the SNES. It doesn't have to be your favorite game but it should be in this list.

  • No Kirby? I dislike.

  • Umm no mortal kombat??? Epic fail

  • You should have included SF2 / SF2T. There are so many people who bought a SNES just to be able to play SF2 at home...

  • Doom for SNES? Not? :)

  • Boogerman ?

  • Street Fighter II > Killer Instinct

  • No Harvest Moon :(

  • um...secret of mana? Illusion of Gaia?

  • @tenchidbz

Yes to Mana, no to Gaia.

Speaking of which, where the hell is SUPER Punch Out?!

  • @theworldisquare Super Punch Out is one of my favorites but I agree with the fact that it isn't in this list. It didn't really define the SNES.

  • mortal kombat should have been here....MK1 was one game which made nintendo change their policy towards inclusion of violence in games...

  • how could you not put Mortal Kombat in there

  • Really ? Mario Paint? You just put every single Mario game in there huh.... Street Fighter 2 Turbo should be on the list. They didn't get it quite right with SF2 , but SF2T is a phenomenal port of the arcade.

  • I would have had Super Ghouls N Ghost in there but great video mate.

  • very good list, all the hard hitters in there. Personally, I would have replaced Final Fight with SF2 Turbo :P or perhaps super bomberman.

  • Nice video, Whats the name of the song playing?

  • @saturndual32 it's called 'Industrial area' from Final Fight.

  • @BoingBurg Thanks man, now i am really in the mood to play some Final Fight. I see why i didnt recognize it, for years i have only played the Sega Mega CD version, and i guess this song isnt in it, since it has a diferent soundtrack from the Arcade and SNES versions, right?

  • Great selection ! Could you please add starting times of each game ? Thanks!

  • Great list. But you forgot Demon's Crest, Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat II. Donkey Kong Country and StarFox were phenoms. When Street Fighter II came out for the SNES, everything blew up.

  • (insert nerdy fanboy comment about xbox360/ps3/pc gaming is better cause im too lazy to play the classics)

  • hell yeah for Link to the past... best Zelda game ever made... scrap that, best game full stop.

  • How on god's green earth did you leave street fighter 2 out of this?

  • i dont think 20 games can really give the snes justice

  • Think the only one you left out was Street Fighter II

  • @Droogie128 and F-Zero

  • what about mortal kombat 3

  • @NickInfante92 Didnt really redefine the SNES,it was just a classic fighting game,a gr8 one,but not innovational

  • mortal kombat?

  • i have most of these games on my snes xD

  • Needs Earthbound and either Kirby 3 or superstar. THOSE games are awesome

  • Good list, I totally agree with this-specially Super Metroid and SMRPG :)

  • Many games missing, but I can't argue with the ones listed either. Great tune.

  • i just found this awesome snes game i remember, it was one of the greatest games ive ever played, its too bad i cant find the name of it since the game doesnt work anymore and the label was ripped off. the game has a picture of a storm trooper looking robot running while deflecting a lazer blast with a green shield, the last few letters on the lable thats readable is 'acor' or 'ator' or osmehting. if anyone has any info on this please reply!!!!

  • @stripeman88

I believe that would be Cybernator.

  • really you forgot the game that saved nintendo's ass in 92' street fighter 2

  • Where is Earthbound????

  • Comment removed

  • finallly someone agrees that megaman defined snes along with donkey kong..donkey kond is the craziest game on snes all three of them are

  • F-Zero shoould be there instead of Mario Kart

  • what about Super Metroid

  • check 1:25

  • @applemctom No Final fight? Or Killer Instinct?

  • @anakin917: did you actually watch the video?

  • @applemctom Yeah, watched it again and found it. Sorry!

  • I don't even get how it got the title super mario world 2. It has like nothing to do with super mario world and none of the same game play.

  • were's KSS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

  • Final Fantasy III is really Final Fantasy VI, because at that time, Final Fantasy II & III for NES/Famicom never released in the US. When FFIV jumped to SNES, and it's because we don't have II & III, it would have made sense to keep it four, so instead they called it II. FFV never made it in the US, so the next FF game is being released as III. The later FFVII for the Sony Playstation kept it's original name to avoid the confusion.

  • Chrono Trigger FTW :D

  • Needs more Earthbound

  • @TheLostYohan I agree 100%.

  • 20games in 2 minutes good job

just wish that you had earthbound instead of Yoshi's island

  • Earthbound has a cult following, but Yoshis Island is very well known among, well, everybody who ever played Super Nintendo.

  • good vid. Lol 20 games in 2 minutes. Good job

  • Great vid! Still love to play retro sometimes!
